SINGAPORE – Due to overwhelming demand, Russell Peters will be adding a second show to his Almost Famous World Tour stop in Singapore. said organisers. The Canadian comedian will perform the additional show on April 8 at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, in addition to his show on April 7.

In 2012, Peters set a new attendance record for the fastest selling and biggest comedy shows in Singapore’s history over two nights at the Singapore Indoor Stadium with 18,000 fans in attendance and many loving the Canadian’s quick-fire banter with the audience.

“I like to interact with the front rows,” said Peters. “I use the interaction to take me from bit to bit. Some guys go on-stage with a script and don’t deviate from it. That’s not my style. I have my set and know what I want to cover; I just use the audience to move me in certain directions. It’s very collaborative and each show is unique.”

The Singapore stop is part of a tour that sees Peters also heading to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, India and Sri Lanka.

Russell Peters performs on April 7 and 8, 8pm at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, Level 6, Hall 601-604. Tickets for the April 8 performance are priced from S$108 to S$228, and go on sale on Feb 3 at 9am through SISTIC.
