HONG KONG — Chinese actress Lynn Hung yesterday (Jan 23) denied rumours that she is dating a Singaporean businessman, the Hong Kong media reported yesterday.

The 33-year-old Hong Kong-based fashion model, who broke off her seven-year relationship with Cantopop Heavenly King Aaron Kwok around April last year, was rumoured to be seeing a 40-year-old Singaporean Rodney Lee for the two months after photographs of them going out together in Singapore surfaced.

However, Lynn told reporters at the Hello Babies film premiere in Hong Kong on Wednesday that Lee is just “a friend” who already has a girlfriend.

“He is not from the entertainment industry, so it probably affects him a lot,” she said. “I really need to clarify that he is not my boyfriend. He is a friend I have known for some time.”

The actress added that she is not concerned about the media labelling her as the third party.

“I am more afraid the media would use the photos and say his girlfriend is the third party between us,” said Lynn, who also said that she knows Lee’s girlfriend.

Lee reportedly fell in love with Lynn at first sight, xinmsn reported last week. Lynn was spotting entering a high-end departmental store with Lee during a seven-day vacation here last year.

The pair were also spotted at Universal Studios on Sentosa, and Lynn posted photos of her visit to the theme park online and commented that she was having the time of her life.

According to some tabloids, Lee paid for her entire trip and a source even revealed that he flies to Hong Kong every weekend and showers Lynn with handbags and gifts.

It is estimated that the tycoon’s net worth is more than HK$100 million, and has quite a few assets in the country. CHANNEL NEWSASIA, XINMSN
