SINGAPORE - A new MediaCorp TV Channel 8 dramedy, A Blessed Life, follows the misadventures of seniors as they learn to live their dreams. The eight-episode half-hour show stars Li Nanxing as a kind soul who helps others even at his own expense, and leads up to the formation of a musical band at the instigation of a character with a terminal illness, played by Richard Low. Other cast members include Chen Liping, Zhu Hou Ren, Brandon Wong and You Yi.

“My oft-repeated line is, ‘I don’t have much time left. When can we form a band?’” shared Low at the press conference for the show, held today at the Shangri-La Hotel. “The show encourages us to support the pioneer generation, because all of us will reach that stage in life sooner or later,” said Li Nanxing. “Let’s not neglect the people around us.”
A Blessed Life premieres Jan 29, 8.30pm on MediaCorp TV Channel 8.
