SINGAPORE – Vasantham crowned its Deepavali Saree Queen 2015 on Friday night at The Ivory Pearl.
Buvaneshwary Ilangovan beat nine other finalists to the prize of S$2000 in cash, a saree by Appollo Sellappas’ Colours Boutique and health and beauty vouchers worth S$500 from Emerald Beauties.
In second and third place were Grace Shanthini and Maheswaree Sandaran respectively.
The event, held to engage Vasantham viewers as part of the Deepavali celebrations, was hosted by Oli 96.8FM’s Anand and Vasantham artiste Indra, and featured performances by Elamaran, Kaushik and newly crowned Vasantham Star Subashini.
