5 questions with Ashley Benson

SINGAPORE — Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson has put her fresh face forward all in the name of fashion.

SINGAPORE — Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson has put her fresh face forward all in the name of fashion.

Benson is fronting H&M’s new Divided campaign, where she can be seen hanging out under the SoCal sun and decked in printed tops, skirts, tank tops and jeans. H&M’s must-have colours this season include grey, mint, white and black, which ought to go down well with noir-coloured lovers out there — including Benson.

“I’m in black most of the time. On a night out with friends, I’ll wear jeans with heels (and they will) probably (be) all black,” she said.

Q: Tell us more about your favourite pieces fom this campaign. They all look so perfect on you.

A: I have a few favourite pieces. I love the cropped tops, high-waisted skirts and the graphic tees. Everything is super cute.

Q: What about your personal style? How would you describe it?

A: My personal style varies a bit. I guess it depends on how I’m feeling that day. I love to dress down and (be) comfortable, but I also love a good chance to get dressed up. I always have my leather jacket and a pair of boots with me.

Q: Your must-have accessories?

A: A leather jacket and a good bag.

Q: You dish out your style and beauty picks on your website (http://www.ashleybenson.net) regularly. What style tip can we take away?

A: Wear what makes you feel comfortable and what makes you feel confident. You should always dress for yourself and no one else.

Q: What about a beauty tip?

A: Always wash your face. I love my Clarisonic especially because I wear so much make-up during the week for work. It gets every ounce of make-up off. I love coconut oil too. I put it all over my face, body and in my hair. It helps condition your hair and skin. (That is) one of my new favourites. Transcript courtesy of H&M
