BEAUTY TECH. Wish to keep the signs of ageing skin at bay without invasive procedures? You will need the new Smart Profile Uplift from Clarisonic. Featuring an inter-switchable Revitalising Cleanse Brush Head and a newly designed three-pronged Firming Massage Head, this cleansing and massaging device has been tested on Asian skin, and promises to target wrinkles and issues such as neck sagging and facial firmness with mechanobiology — a new science that explores how mechanical stimulation such as vibrating, stretching and tensing affects how biological tissues behave with a device.

Working together with Singapore’s Mechanobiology Institute, L’Oreal discovered that a three-point massage head working at a 75Hz frequency and generating 9,000 micro-massages per minute optimally helped strengthen the skin’s dermal-epidermal junction and also increased skin’s extra-cellular matrix production. Fuss free and easy to operate, simply start off by cleansing your face with the cleansing brush head (it removes makeup, sunscreen and pore clogging debris to help drive better absorption of anti-ageing skincare products), apply a serum or moisturiser of your choice, and massage away with the massage head twice a day (three minutes each session, on areas such as the face, neck and decollete) for a smoother, firmer and more uplifted complexion in 12 weeks.

The device (S$599) is currently retailing at S$399 at all Sephora stores for a limited time only. The Massage Head can also be purchased separately for S$75 (for use on Clarisonic Smart Profile Uplift devices only).

FEEL THE HEAT. If there is one makeup palette worth splurging on this month, it is the Naked Heat palette from Urban Decay. Boasting every shade you need to create sultry daytime looks, intensely smoky night-time looks and everything in between, this eye shadow palette features 12 all-new amber-hued neutrals — including warm browns, burnt oranges and rich siennas in shades ranging from Ounce, Chaser and Sauced to Scorched, Ashes and Ember.

The brand will also be launching a limited-edition capsule collection of three Vice Lipsticks (in the shades of Fuel, Scorched and Heat) and two 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils (in Alkaline and Torch) to compliment the looks created from the Naked Heat palette.

Available now exclusively at all Sephora stores and online at www.sephora.sg/brands/urban-decay, and at the Urban Decay freestanding stores such as at Takashimaya S.C., Ngee Ann City (#B1-32), VivoCity (#01-13) and Bugis Junction (#01-16) from July 20 onwards.
