SINGAPORE — Korean beauty brand LANEIGE is more than just a provider of products that can help your skin look good; LANEIGE Singapore will also be giving back to society through the brand’s first local fund-raising campaign this month.

Titled Uniquely-YOU, the brand will be donating up to S$12,000, through the sales of its BB Cushion, to Beyond Social Services, a voluntary welfare organisation committed to help young people from disadvantaged and troubled backgrounds. The funds collected will be channelled to Beyond Social Services’ community support programmes.

From now to Oct 4, LANEIGE Singapore will be pledging the following donation tiers based on the number of LANEIGE BB Cushions sold at any of their six boutiques and 12 counters. For instance, the brand will donate S$6,000 for 3,000 pieces of LANEIGE BB Cushions sold; S$8,000 for 4,000 pieces; and S$12,000 for 5,000 pieces. It will also update the sales of the cushions sold thus far at 11am daily on their Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/sglaneige).

Doreen Chia, brand general manager of LANEIGE Singapore, said: “This is the first local philanthropic initiative by LANEIGE Singapore and we hope to continue this as an annual project. We believe that Beyond Social Services shares the same mission as the brand in empowering young people and developing their beauty from within. Through this campaign and the various activities that we have for our customers, LANEIGE Singapore wishes to inspire everyone to create their own unique charm beyond their appearance. What matters is what you are and not where you came from.”

Goh Chee Kong, president of Beyond Social Services, said the organisaton welcomed this partnership. “(It) will help provide a voice for often overlooked causes,” he said, thanking the beauty brand “for standing with us in our mission to curb delinquency among children and youth who are on the fringe of society, and to develop them into responsible people who respect the law and value education”.

The brand will also be holding a LANEIGE Uniquely-YOU Event at Suntec City West Atrium, Level 1 from Sept 28 to Oct 4, where one can mingle and listen to inspirational stories from three campaign ambassadors — supermodel Sheila Sim (Oct 4, 2pm to 4pm), fashion stylist Keith Png (Oct 2, 7pm to 9pm) and host, creative writer and online influencer Jemimah Wei (Oct 3, 2pm to 4pm). Plus, shoppers who purchase BB Cushions during the roadshow will also have a chance to meet these influencers and have them doodle on their LANEIGE BB Cushion pact too. There are also other activities to check out such as the large board created in partnership with artist group Band of Doodlers, where one can contribute messages or quotes of inspiration and encouragement, and make-up demonstrations by LANEIGE’s global make-up artists from Korea.
