SINGAPORE — Here’s a heads-up for petrol-heads: If you still don’t know, the Singapore Motorshow will make its return to the motoring scene next week. Presented by Motor Traders Association of Singapore (MTA), in collaboration with MediaCorp, and held from Jan 15 to 18 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, the motor show will see 26 car brands participating.

“Motor shows in Singapore have always ignited interest and imagination about cars,” said Glenn Tan, president of MTA, in a statement. “The MTA has been eager to revive the motor show, since the last was held in 2008. The industry feels strongly about bringing this important institution back to life in Singapore and I’m pleased that the 2015 edition will not disappoint.”

Jack Lim, chief commercial officer at MediaCorp, added: “Singapore is a nation of car lovers. MediaCorp is committed to working with MTA to bring all the excitement of the Singapore Motorshow to motoring enthusiasts and their families, and making it one of the most talked-about events on the Singapore calendar.”

The Singapore Motorshow 2015 also promises to be more than being only a showcase of cars. Car brand Subaru will also be bringing in stunt driver, Russ Swift, for driving exhibitions.

Tickets for the motor show are priced at S$6 per entry (free for anyone below 1.2m tall). There will also be a limited amount of special-preview tickets (S$10 per entry), which will allow visitors to enter the show at noon on Jan 15. Tickets for Russ Swift’s stunt-driving show is separate from the entrance ticket. It will be available for collection on-site an hour before each show (first-come, first-served, while stocks last) and must be collected in person and upon presentation of a valid entrance ticket. Tickets are available on-site.
