Head to Gattopardo Ristorante di Mare where an Italian “free-flow” family-style brunch with at least seven all-Sicilian dishes will be served. One spectacular Sicilian favourite is a 6kg octopus from the fresh waters of Sicily. It is lightly blanched, and served table-side. LOCAL DELIGHTS FOR LUNCH AND TEA AT WHITE ROSE CAFÉ

A mix of Western and Asian delights will be found at this international buffet lunch. White Rose Café’s Chili Crab and Roasted Baby Back Ribs will be on the banquette. A la minute dishes will be served, too. Those include the signature Laksa and Fried Spicy Cereal Prawns. Available on May 14, from 11.30am to 2.30pm. FARM-FRESH MOTHERS’ DAY BRUNCH

Treat Mum to a three-course Mother’s Day Brunch (S$58++) at Open Farm Community, which is offering up selections like Warm Broccoli Salad, Cured Ocean Trout Savoury Crepe, and Thai Basil Gnocchi with Grilled King Prawns. A Calamanso Sponge with Rose sorbet will be served for dessert. Mothers will also enjoy complimentary welcome drinks, rose-scented towels and Strip and Spa Esprit gift vouchers. GO GLUTEN-FREE AT OPEN DOOR POLICY

Open Door Policy will be going gluten-free this Mother’s Day. So, those with wheat allergies (or those who simply prefer to be wheat-free) can indulge in hearty brunch classics like Spicy Chorizo Poach Egg, Mountain Yam Rosti, a sinful stack of French Toast, and a special Lobster Benedict with Pink Champagne Hollandaise and Spiced Avocado. ARGENTINEAN FLAVOURS AT BOCHINCHE

A mouth-watering spread of Argentinean flavours and all-time brunch classics is available at Bochinche. Sup on perfectly poached eggs with braised Ossobuco on toast, coated with a creamy chive hollandaise; or a stack of sweet and savoury Brioche French Toast with house-cooked ham and bacon ice cream. BOTANICO SERVES UP BRUNCH AND COCKTAILS

A delectable four-course brunch will be served at Botanico (S$80++ per adult). Diners start with freshly shucked oysters, Isiazabal croquette and lamb tartare, and get a choice of starters, mains and desserts. A Chocolate Merlot cake will be served at the end of the meal. Specially concocted for Mother’s Day are two themed cocktails (S$16++ per glass). Try Chocolate N’ Roses, a blend of vodka, rose syrup, chocolate sauce and milk, garnished with chocolate-coated strawberries; or the Watermelon Cooler, a thirst-quenching mélange of gin and watermelon juice with muddled raspberries and mint leaves. SPANISH GASTRONOMICAL INDULGENCE

The three-course dinner set menu (S$68++) at Una sees savoury starters like smoky grilled octopus with roasted new and purple potatoes. Mains include choices such as a whole roasted, grain-fed chicken stuffed with thyme and garlic, served with chargrilled Padron peppers, deep-fried potatoes, roasted garlic and chicken jus. The signature paella of saffron rice with fresh prawns, clams, mussels and chicken is also on offer. Crispy churros dusted with cinnamon and sugar, with dark chocolate sauce and coffee-infused foam end the meal. Mothers can also enjoy a dinner for free with every two paying diners. A HOST OF OPTIONS AT GRAND HYATT

Grand Hyatt Singapore spoils mums for choice. mezza9 will be having a Mother’s Day brunch (S$108++ per adult, S$54++ per child) with a fabulous feast of international fare that includes crabs and prawns, as well as artisan charcuterie. Brunch is from 11.30am to 3pm. Pete’s Place hopes to transport mothers to Italy with a hearty buffet spread and live carving station from 11.30am to 2pm (S$68++ per adult, S$34++ per child). At Oasis, diners can enjoy a barbeque brunch (S$68++ per adult, S$44++ per child). The poolside restaurant will see its restaurant’s specialty chefs whipping up Black Onyx beef, Beetroot and Norwegian salmon burgers. On from 12pm to 3pm. DURIAN TREATS FOR DURIAN-LOVING MOTHERS

Available until July 31, the D24 Matcha Cake is a brand-new delight for durian-loving mothers at Goodwood Park Hotel. The pastel-green pastry is made of a perfect blend of flavours; studded with elegant white chocolate “pearls”, crowned with a “fan”, and surrounded by ladyfingers. Available for takeaway at The Deli for S$12 nett per slice and S$60 nett for a whole 500g cake. On May 13 and 14, the Coffee Lounge will serve a dessert buffet with a range of durian pastries in addition to its regular desserts. A live station highlight will be the a la minute Durian Pancakes. CANTONESE FINE-DINING AT MITZO

At Mitzo Restaurant & Bar, three special Mother’s Day menus will tantalise those who love Cantonese food. The Bird’s Nest Champagne Brunch (S$98++ per person) includes more than 40 types of dainty dim sum delights, such as steamed bamboo clam with minced garlic and braised tofu topped with bird nest in a carrot broth. Available on May 13 and 14, from 11.30am to 2.30pm. A Dim Sum High Tea (S$48++ per person) will also be available, and features exquisite steamed and fried dim sum served on three-tier stands.
