In celebration of the nation’s 52nd birthday, JPOT launches the Chili Crab Soup Base (S$19.80). Diners can cook live crab in the soup base for exactly three minutes, followed by the buffet of hotpot ingredients. A JPOT staff will assist in the preparation of the actual Chili Crab dish, with cornstarch first poured in, and followed by an egg and the soup base, which is mixed thoroughly till it thickens to the right consistency. NEW OUTLET, NEW MENU AT BAKERZIN

Bakerzin has opened its seventh outlet at 18 Tai Seng Mall with a new menu which features delectable full course choices. Dishes in the new menu include Wild Forest Mushroom Soup (S$4), Herb Cream Cheese Salad (S$6.80), Coffee Pulled Pork Burger (S$12.80), Mum’s Chicken Curry (S$10), and more. Diners can also have a a choice of pasta (S$6.80), from Linguine to Spaghetti, and choose a preferred style such as Aglio Olio, Carbonara, Laksa or even Pesto; enhance the D.I.Y Pasta experience with a choice of ingredients from beef meatballs to mixed seafood or a vegetarian option. Alternatively, try the D.I.Y Pizza (S$10) where diners can choose two toppings to pair with Bakerzin’s home made thyme Margherita pizza.

REFRESHED MENU BY TAIWANESE GUEST CHEF AT SI CHUAN DOU HUA RESTAURANT

As part of a collaboration with Yang Ming Spring Green Kitchen, Taipei’s vegetarian restaurant, Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant introduces their healthy and tasty vegetarian menus. At S$78 or S$98 per person, highlights of the menus include Thick Bean Curd Soup with Green Peas, a wholesome soup of soft bean curd solvers topped with green peas, which are a good source of Vitamin K; Crispy Seaweed-wrapped Cheddar Roll, with cheese twirled in seaweed and bee hoon; Warm Red Quinoa Fruit Salad, a gluten-free and high in protein salad tossed with pineapples, yellow zucchini, radish, cherry tomatoes and red quinoa, and more. CRACKERJACK’S ALL NEW GRAB AND GO BREAKFAST

Crackerjack has launced an all new Grab and Go Breakfast with three options: the Housemade Bagel (S$4) which comes with a choice of cream cheese (S$1) or house-made kimchi cream cheese (S$1.50); Bircher Muesli (S$9), which is made with organic Dutch milk, oats, quinoa, chia seeds, dried fruit, coconut flakes, and strawberries; and the Kale & Chicken Chimichurri Wrap (S$9), which is made with shredded chicken, kale stems, leaves, onions, garlic, lemon juice, purple cabbage, and house-made flour tortilla. In addition, a cup of CJ Bona Fide Blend Batch Brew coffee is available for an additional S$2. Available from Monday to Friday from 9am to 11am. Located at 43 Tanjong Pagar Road.
