After a seven-year run, Sentosa’s signature Songs Of The Sea night show will end with a final performance on May 4. To commemorate the occasion and allow everyone a chance to enjoy the production, Sentosa is offering more than 5,000 tickets at a 50 per cent discount on its Facebook page. More than 8.3 million people have seen the show’s unique blend of live cast, dramatic laser and water effects, and pyrotechnics, so don’t miss the chance to catch it one last time before it makes way for a new multi-sensory production in June. In addition, until tomorrow, take part in the Instagram contest and stand to win attractive prizes, including a backstage visit. Meet-the-Author: Adeline Foo of The Travel Diary of Amos Lee – Lost in Taipei!

Local children’s book character Amos Lee takes on Taipei in the latest in the series. There for a school trip to study Mandarin, he manages to get lost in the bustling city. Be part of his adventures as he navigates the night markets, crowded streets and Taipei 101 all by himself. Author Adeline Foo and illustrator Stephanie Wong will be at the event to share the latest on the beloved character’s exciting life.

Rock Me to the Moon

Taiwanese film Rock Me To The Moon is a heartwarming docu-drama about six ordinary men with an average age of 52. All of them are fathers of children stricken with rare illnesses. None of them are professional musicians. To relieve the pressure of caring for their children and family, they turned to music and a dream — that their amateur rock band can make it to the big stage at the highly competitive Sea Music Festival. It’s a film about courage, both for their dreams and their children’s happiness.

The Day the Earth Died

Celebrate Earth Day at the Far East Organization Children’s Garden, where there’ll be a special programme for the family. Mobile library

If you can’t go to the library, the library will come to you. This week, Molly the Mobile Library will be making a stop in Punggol. There’ll be popular books and classic favourites on board. Facilities include a service counter, e-Kiosk, and book borrowing and returning stations. Free books you can borrow at your doorstep and a weekend spent with noses buried in delightful stories — what’s not to like?

Movie Magic: Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted

Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer Live! Dora’s Pirate Adventure

Dora the Explorer is back and this time, she’ll be embarking on an exciting trip to Treasure Island in search of the ultimate pirate party. Join her, her best buddy Boots the Monkey and their friends as they navigate the Dancing Mountain and the Silly Singing Bridge in pursuit of Pirate Piggies. They’ll also need the audience’s help. Children can pitch in with their map-reading, counting, musical and language skills to help Dora on her quest.

Energizer Singapore Night Trail

The pulse-racing night race is back and this year, Energizer will be donating S$2 to its adopted charity SportCares Foundation for every sign-up. Through the event, Energizer aims to donate 14 million hours of energy-efficient lighting to people around the world who live without access to electricity this year. Apart from the 6km, 12km and 18km Trail Races that take participants through the Mandai jungle, there are friendlier options for the young ones. Choose from the 1.5km and 3km Parent & Child Obstacle Race or the 3km Open Obstacle Race (for participants aged 10 and above). Early bird registration is now on until May 31.
