This sci-fi themed alien carnival features more than 20 illuminated aliens and extraterrestrial creatures, including a dramatic UFO. Check out the depiction of the Roswell Area 51 incident. Overlooking a beautiful lake, it’s also a good chance for a family picnic in scenic surroundings.

F1 SENSATION DANIEL RICCIARDO AT ION ORCHARD

Get your camera ready and prepare to click away as Perth-born Formula One sensation Daniel Ricciardo, currently ranked in third-place at the FIA Formula One World Championship 2014 with three F1 Grand Prix wins, makes a pit-stop at ION Orchard this Saturday for a 30-minute-long autograph and photo session at the Infiniti Red Bull roadshow space. MAMA’S BAZAAR 2014

This family bazaar is run by mothers and this year’s edition promises to be even bigger and better, with plenty of activities for adults and children. With more than 35 stalls, highlights include the Singapore Mumpreneur Award Ceremony, which will be attended by Senior Minister of State Josephine Teo; the Miss Tiara Society Princess Pageant 2014 (for those aged four to seven); a fashion show featuring mothers; a free craft area for kids with glitter tattoos, manicures and face painting. Designed for families with children, this educational and interactive exhibition invites you to rediscover the past through postal stories. Chart the progress of Singapore and travel around the island through stamps, learn about the postal history of Singapore and Taman Jurong, and use your different senses to appreciate the unusual stamps of Singapore. Aspiring young ones who are curious about the many diverse medical professions can get a glimpse into the different medical occupations, such as an optometrist, pharmacist and radiologist. Targeted at children aged 4 to 10, the kids will decipher PET-MRI scans, dispense medications at a make-believe pharmacy counter, evaluate a friend’s eyesight and even learn about the inner workings of a human body.

HI-5 HOUSE HITS 2014
