SINGAPORE — Bobby Tonelli is not only a smooth talker, but a rather fast one as well. He’ll break speed limits gushing about his favourite foods. And don’t even get us started about the Class 95FM DJ’s sweet tooth.

“I have a very bad sweet tooth! The Cheesecake Factory in the United States has my favourite brownies so far.

As for chocolate chip cookies, it’s the DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie that’s my favourite. These cookies are phenomenal! You get it free when you check into the DoubleTree Hotel, where they give it to you warm and toasted. It’s got chocolate, oatmeal and cinnamon. It was even rated as one of the best chocolate cookies in the world. You can even ask them for a couple more and they’ll give it to you. You can also but them in the little containers if you want. And they’re not small. They’re big, thick cookies!”

But the 38-year-old professed that he has tried some pretty nasty things on his travels around the world. “I’ve had a seahorse. You know those cereal prawns that you get at seafood restaurants? It’s like that ... but it’s not the shape of a prawn and it tastes a little crunchier. I’ve also had a cow’s nose in Indonesia. My girlfriend asked me try it. That was odd. It tasted like a beef jello.”

Speaking of odd, Tonelli’s ventures outside of radio might raise a few eyebrows. “I’m working with a friend who’s distributing one of the top fertilisers all over Asia. It’s not a glamorous business, but it taught me to look at the necessities that people need to plant vegetables, produce and grains. It’s a business that actually helps people, so that’s always a nice thing to do.

He added: “I’ll (also) be doing the art, but I can’t say much about that until it goes full steam ahead. But it’s going to be quite cool.”
