The popular Korea cafe chain dal.komm Coffee, which was featured in the hit Korean TV drama Descendants Of The Sun, is opening their first store in Singapore at The Centrepoint. For each purchase made, customers will receive at Music Card with a QR Code that can be scanned to access and stream music videos. The cafe specialises in quality Arabica bean brews made with a proprietary selection of four blends. Sample the Hot Choco Cube and Iced Honey Grapefruit and feast on a variety of snacks and bites such as bingsu (Korean shaved ice dessert), flatbreads and pastries. Located at 176 Orchard Road. FESTIVE FETE AT ORCHARD HOTEL SINGAPORE

To set the celebratory mood, executive Chef Vincent Aw has cooked up two all-new turkey creations: Sous Vide Turkey Roulade with chestnut and dried fruits stuffing served with baked rustic potatoes and traditional whole roasted turkey with poached tomatoes scented with lemongrass. Satisfy your sweet tooth with the new Chocolate Stracciatella with dried fruits and pistachio log cake that is made up of mascarpone cream cheese, dried cranberry, apricot bits and pistachio. CHRISTMAS INDULGENCE AT KAISERHAUS

Kaiserhaus is putting out their second edition of the Kaiserhaus Christmas Special menu with a three-course spread with a glass of wine or Hirter craft beer at S$88 for two. Start the festive feast with a hearty serving of their soup of the day and move on to the succulent roast duck served with freshly made dumplings and red cabbage. Diners can end their meal with the restaurant’s festive pastry delights such as the home-made Christmas cookies (S$12 for 180g) and Christstollen – a traditional Austrian fruitcake with soaked rum raisins, candied lemon peel, glazed with a light layer of butter, cinnamon and powder sugar (S$23 for 500g). MERRY FEASTING WITH FLAIR AT THE DELI

Diners can go on a merry feast at The Deli, Goodwood Park hotel. New this year is the ‘Wu Xi’ Turkey (S$218 for 8 to 10 persons) by executive chef Foo Jong Kwang. The turkey is braised with red yeast rice, red dates and a blend of spices for up to two hours to create its impeccably juicy and tender taste. Another treat diners can look out for is the Merry Mosaic Cake (S$48) available in six different flavours such as Mango Mousse and Raspberry Earl Grey. Located at 22 Scotts Road. Until Dec 26. CREAMIER X LENNARDY PRESENT LIMITED EDITION WHITE CHOCOLATE MISO WITH TOASTED SEAWEED ICE CREAM

Handcrafted ice-cream and coffee outlet Creamier has collaborated with eponymous local ice-cream artisan and former Masterchef Asia contestant Lennard Yeong to create an exclusive flavour — white chocolate miso with toasted seaweed. The savoury-sweet ice cream flavour is made with milky smooth 34 per cent white chocolate and organic shiro (white) miso from the Nagano prefecture of Japan. It is then finished-off with a liberal sprinkling of crisp seaweed flakes upon serving, to offer a delicate balance of textures and flavours. Available till Dec 31 at Creamier Toa Payoh and Creamier Gillman Barracks. All proceeds from the sale of the flavour will be donated to Yeong’s charity of choice. ‘TIS THE SEAFOOD SEASON AT FISH & CO

This Christmas menu will feature a dish called Tis the Seafood Season (S$57.95 for 2 pax), and will include dishes such as a broth pot that is packed with seafood such as white fish, blue mussels and scallops. Mocktails and truffle chips are provided as well. Its seasonal menu — Comfort Food for the Soul — will include its coriander catch (S$18.95) that is served with truffle chips and topped with parmesan cheese and another choice of side. Christmas menu is available at all outlets, except Waterway Point, Vivocity, and East Coast. The Seasonal Menu will be available at all outlets except East Coast.

 

BOOKING AHEAD: FIFTY RAFFLES PLACE PRESENTS ONE STARRY CHRISTMAS AT SEAR

At their restaurant SEAR, diners can indulge in their festive lunch menus which comes with an appetiser of Creamy Pumpkin-Mushroom Soup or Chef’s Salad with Cranberry, Haricot Verts and Almonds. The main course will see Roasted Turkey with Corn and Chestnut stuffing or Roasted Wagyu Tenders with Sauteed Fine Beans and Almond. For desserts, diners can get treated to their Spiced Christmas Donuts with Chestnut ice-cream. This lunch menu is priced at S$35++ for two course or S$45 for three course.

 

BOOKING AHEAD: CHAMPAGNE TASTING FOR THE FESTIVE SEASON

Champagne aficionados will want to head to Chateau Asia on Dec 8. Here, taste six exclusive Champagnes such as Perrier Jouet Brut – an elegant champagne created by Herve Deschamps Celler Master since 1993 and Ruinart Blanc de Blancs – the iconic Champagne from Ruinart house. Apart from tasting, there will also be a menu on that night for diners to pair with these Champagne. These include: Smoked Duck with Beetroot and Basil and Grilled Vegetables with Feta Cheese. Located at 9 Raffles Place. The Champagne tasting event starts from 7.30pm to 10pm and is priced at S$138. For each purchase, diners will receive an S$30 voucher.
