SPEND VALENTINE’S DAY BY THE RIVERSIDE AT SPRMKRT KITCHEN & BAR

Couples can spend Valentine’s Day overlooking the scenic riverside of Robertson Quay at SPRMRKT Kitchen & Bar. The bistro is offering a Valentine’s Day seven-course dinner set menu that is crafted from fresh and specially-sourced ingredients. Couples will start their meal with the classic oyster mornay and house-made beetroot fettucine with hand dived Hokkaido scallops. For mains, choose either a Chilean sea bass pan-seared with Asian-inspired sides of sesame quinoa and asparagus tempura, or grass-fed beef tenderloin served with a creamy potato puree. The bistro’s strawberry mille-feuille layered with delicate and flaky puff pastry will end the meal. Available on Feb 11 and Feb 14 at S$108++ per person, or S$166++ per person with wine pairing. SEASON OF LOVE AT THE GARAGE

If you want to escape the crowds on Valentine’s Day, contemporary bistro The Garage is a great option, as it’s nestled in the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The bistro is serving a six-course dinner set menu priced at S$260++ per couple. Highlights include a lightly marinated Tsarskaya oyster with caviar and creamy cauliflower puree, steamed sunchoke and egg pudding with foie gras and sunchoke chips, as well as house-cured Scottish salmon complemented with smoked salmon roe, and cucumber sorbet. CELEBRATE VALENTINE’S DAY AT DISTRICT 10

Indulge in an evening of romance at Modern European restaurant District 10, which has a Valentine’s Day three-course dinner set menu at three of their outlets: UE Square, Suntec City and The Star Vista. Tuck into an Italian antipasto which consists of parma ham with melon and roasted scallops, then move onto either the delectable pan roasted salmon fillet served with potato mouse and pesto sauce, or the grilled grain-fed black angus served with roasted rosemary potatoes. Complete your dining experience with a raspberry chocolate cake with wild berry salad. The three-course dinner set menu is priced at S$78, inclusive of one glass of prosecco. VALENTINE’S SUNDAY BRUNCH AT UNA

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with the kids. Spanish restaurant Una’s Valentine’s Sunday Brunch has a kids’ menu featuring dishes by Executive Chef Antonio Oviedo. Expect favourites such as ham croquettas, mac and cheese, as well as fish and chips. Kids can be kept busy with an arts and crafts activity or play in a bouncy castle. Adult diners can expect dishes such as an Iberico ham and eggs benedict and Una’s signature roasted suckling pig and paella. For dessert, diners will love the Crema Catalana, Una’s Spanish take on the crème brulee, or a special heart-shaped raspberry, lychee and rose cake. Available on Feb 12. SHARE THE LOVE THIS VALENTINE’S DAY AT JAMIE’S ITALIAN

Italian restaurant Jamie’s Italian has prepared a special three-course Valentine’s Day sharing menu, available from Feb 11 to Feb 14. Highlights include the Valentine’s Day Antipasti Plank that comes heaped with savoury treats such as a selection of finest Italian cold cuts and cheeses, as well as the specially created Chef’s Valentine’s Day Double Tenderloin, served with a root vegetable slaw and a Bearnaise sauce. Priced at S$188++ per couple, available at both the Forum and VivoCity outlets.

 

LOBSTER BONANZA AT MANDARIN ORIENTAL, SINGAPORE

Mandarin Oriental’s all-day dining buffet restaurant, Melt Cafe, is launching a Lobster Bonanza feast featuring the crustacean as its main ingredient. Look forward to the cognac-infused lobster bisque with garlic croutons and oven-roasted lobster tail with brandy hollandaise. Or if you prefer a more local flair, there is the Singapore lobster laksa topped with a quail egg and bean sprouts. Available from until Feb 21, the dinner buffet is priced at S$75 from Sundays to Thursdays, and S$85 on Fridays and Saturdays, inclusive of free flow of juices. Located at 5 Raffles Avenue. BOOKING AHEAD: CE LA VI UNVEILS THE PENULTIMATE VALENTINE’S DAY EXPERIENCE

On Feb 14 and Feb 15, go on a gastronomic journey while enjoying the panoramic view of the Marina Bay skyline at Marina Bay Sands’ restaurant & SkyBar. Ce La Vi has come up with a five-course degustation menu, inclusive of a “Love Potion” cocktail. Couples can kick-start their epicurean journey with fresh oysters served with Vodka granite and Avruga roe. After the light starter, choose from two offerings — slow-roasted Asian Spice Rub Veal Tenderloin or French Yellow Chicken Breast served with duck fat confit potato. End the night with head pastry chef Ariane Jimenez’s dessert which comprises rose water mousse, pistachio cake, and peach sorbet. The five-course degustation menu is priced at S$168++ per person. Fancy a romantic dinner by the beach? Located by East Coast Park, Atmosphere Bistro & Sports Bar — owned and managed by Simyee Holdings – has a four-course Valentine’s Day menu for couples. Be tempted by dishes like the smoked salmon enoki roll, and duck confit with cranberry sauce. Meadowsweet panna cotta with cranberry sauce makes for a great finish. The four-course Valentine’s Day menu is priced at S$98++ for two with soft drinks or juices and $128++ for two, with two glasses of pairing champagne float cocktails or house pour wine.
