CRACKERJACK RECOVERY SGCF BRUNCH

The Singapore Cocktail Festival is on, and those who need a little something for their hangovers can head to Crackerjack. The all-day dining and dining joint has prepared a recovery brunch (S$16+), as part of Cocktail Fest, where cocktails are being presented by the two-month-old eatery. The brunch comes in two variations: Naughty, which comes with Chilaquiles, a Mexican tortilla dish and a mezcal bloody mary; and Nice, which comes with house-made bone broth with egg stracietella and a spinach superfood shake. Feeling sore? There will be massage therapists on standby to rub the aches away. The recovery brunches are available daily from March 16 to March 22. Located at 43 Tanjong Pagar Road. SILK ROAD PRESENTS PROVINCIAL HOMEMADE WHEAT NOODLES AND DUMPLINGS

Amara’s Chinese restaurant Silk Road welcomes Chef Jack Huang from Inner Mongolia as a guest chef. Chef Huang has come up with a provincial selection of handmade wheat noodles and dumplings. Priced from S$8 to S$14 per dish, diners will be treated to dishes such as knife-shaved noodles with braised pork belly, homemade noodles with special braised beef, and Xi’an spicy noodles served with freshly minced pork belly. Dumplings include pan-fried Shanxi dumplings filled with pork and chive, and fish paste dumplings filled with fresh fish meat, spring onion and pepper. Available now. SUFOOD VEGELICIOUS FEAST SET

Taiwanese vegetarian restaurant chain Sufood is presenting a healthy, eight-course vegelicious feast. Diners can choose from fresh salads, savoury soups, main courses and desserts in a set meal. Highlights include a mixed fruit and vegetable salad which comes with fresh fruits and vegetables served with a blueberry dressing. Truffle fans, dig into the Cream of Wild Mushroom Soup with Black Truffle and The Grain Rice with Mushroom & Truffle Grain, doused with truffle oil. TIFFIN ROOM CELEBRATES HOLI

This is your last chance to try Raffles Singapore’s North Indian restaurant Tiffin Room’s Holi buffet menu. Curated by Chef Kuldeep Negi and his team, look forward to dishes such as Dahi Bhalla, lentil dumplings served in yoghurt; and Ragda Patties, a savoury potato-based snack; as well as Gulabi Murgh Tikka, chicken marinated with saffron and rose essence. End the meal with chef Kuldeep’s Gujiyas, sweet dumplings made of flour, coconut milk and dried fruit. The Holi buffet menu is available for both lunch (S$68++) and dinner (S$78++). DISTRICT 10 BAR & RESTAURANT LAUNCHES A LINE-UP OF GOURMET SANDWICHES

Visit UE Square’s District 10 Bar & Restaurant, where new gourmet sandwiches have been added to the weekend brunch menu. Don’t miss out on the duck confit sandwich (S$18++), made with pulled duck confit; grilled bbq pork and pineapple sandwich (S$16++), with sliced bbq pork strips; and the tuna sandwich (S$14++), served in a crispy warm croissant. Or, dig into signature dishes which include tomato and basil scrambled eggs (S$14++), Philly cheese steak (S$18++), and District 10’s brunch beef burger (S$22++). ONCE UPON A TIME AT BAR TERMINI AT TIPPLING CLUB

Bar Termini, the tiny Soho London outfit, is known for serving up the ultimate Italian experience with classic cocktails inspired by the 1950s, along with coffees that pack a punch. In conjunction with the Singapore Cocktail Festival 2017, Tippling Club is hosting Termini’s Gregory Camillo and Robin Kolek, who will be making Bar Termini’s signature Negronis. Diners will be treated to Tippling Club’s inspired Italian fare such as smoked egg raviolio and hazelnut beurre noisette from chef Ayo Adeyemi. BOOKING AHEAD: CAROUSEL SUPPORTS EARTH HOUR

To support Earth Hour this year, Royal Plaza on Scotts and its buffet restaurant, Carousel, will be switching off non-essential lights in the hotel and restaurant on March 25. Diners will move around and eat by candle-light, as the restaurant will provide soy candles for its guests. There, be treated to a menu which includes home-grown vegetables such as baby spinach, butterhead lettuce and wild rocket at the Organic Salad Station. Mains include traditional roasted chicken with herb charmoula marinade, and whole baked snapper with herb pesto. Located at 25 Scotts Road. Call 6589 7799.

 

BOOKING AHEAD: ORCHARD CAFE AND INTERMEZZO S$0.60 DEAL FOR EARTH HOUR

This dining deal has the second diner paying just S$0.60 for the Orchard Cafe and Intermezzo Bar’s buffet. Signature roast duck and golden suckling pig, as well as freshly-prepared La Mian are included in the buffet. The deal is organised as part of Orchard Hotel Singapore’s pledge to Earth Hour. On March 25, the hotel will be switching off non-essential lights, water features and turning up air-conditioning temperatures to advocate a positive impact on our environment.
