AZUR’S BOUNTY OF THE OCEAN BUFFET FEAST IS BACK. ABALONE DELIGHTS AT ONE-NORTH. For S$28 per person, the abalone trio platter features abalone roll with green apple and truffle oil, pan-fried abalone stuffed with prawn paste and steamed xiao long bao with mini abalone. New creations on the a la carte menu (available from Aug 1) include steamed chicken with black fungus and ginger paste and braised wagyu beef cheek with papaya paste.

SINGAPORE’S FIRST LOUIS ROEDERER CRISTAL CHAMPAGNE SUNDAY BRUNCH. Sample more than eight types of French and Canadian oysters shucked to order among other luscious seafood, a live foie gras station, roast carving station, a refined cheese selection and handcrafted desserts — perfectly complemented with unlimited flutes of vintage Louis Roederer champagne (choose between the Cristal Brut Vintage 2006 or 2007, and the 2009 Brut Rose).

SUPERMUFFINS ARE HERE. Pacific Marketplace introduces a range of five unique muffins: Chicken Run, featuring succulent chicken cubes with garlic chives and fragrant Shaoxing rice wine; Krrish, a fiery composition of curry potatoes, decorated with garam masala, chilli powder, curry leaves and tumeric powder; the Minotaur, a French-style braised oxtail; The Hulk, a decadent blend of mushroom, cheese and cream in a spinach crust; and Ms Piggy (Chinese barbecued pork with salted egg yolk).

AN INDULGENT AFFAIR AT BREEZE. The Scarlet Singapore’s rooftop bar, Breeze, reopens with decadent indulgences and brand new creations such as avocado tempura with salmon roe marinated with sake and shoyu. Guests can enjoy these with the Graciously Scarlet, a signature cocktail comprising gin, lime juice, fresh raspberry, ginger beer and raspberry liqueur.

WINE AND DINE FOR A GOOD CAUSE AT MARINA BAY SANDS. TASTE OF YESTERYEAR AT ELLENBOROUGH MARKET CAFE. Featuring a Singapore heritage-themed dinner. DURIAN FEST AT THE HARD ROCK HOTEL. The Resorts World Sentosa Durian Fest is back, with seven varieties available - D24, D13, Mao Shan Wang, Jin Feng, Hu Lor, Zhu Jiao and Ang Kar - as well as desserts such as durian puffs and durian potong ice cream and the world’s largest durian stack (Resorts World Sentosa’s Coliseum will be packed to the rafters with an array of durians).

NEW DISHES AT COFFEE LOUNGE. The Taiwan Porridge A La Carte Buffet (S$39 per adult) features an unlimited order of 31 favourites from the main menu, including a lavish dessert buffet spread. If you don’t like buffets, you can still order the dishes separately. We suggest the shredded bamboo shoots in chilli oil (S$9), fried omelette with crabmeat (S$10), steamed minced pork with salted fish (S$15) and deep-fried pomfret with chilli and salt (S$25).

NEW SELF-SERVE CONCEPT AT TEN-ICHI UDON. Create your own mix-and-match udon dishes, and choose from delectable flavours, such as the new yuzu (citrus) series, comprising the chilled dipping Zaru Yuzu Udon, Yuzu Wasabi Udon and the store’s specialty, the Kamatama Yuzu Udon, which is served with a half-boiled egg. A variety of tempura dishes are also available.

SI CHUAN DOU HUA TURNS THREE. Diners will enjoy enticing discounts on the roast suckling pig, now priced at S$238. With three suckling pigs for the price of two, diners can also opt to enjoy 30 per cent off one suckling pig and receive a complimentary steamed piglet with lotus paste dessert. The charcoal-roasted delicacy is a terrific mouth-watering treat, with a delectable crispy layer of skin, accompanied by specially handcrafted desserts, providing a final sweet touch on the meal.

IRRESTIBLE RAMADAN BUFFET AT BREEZ BISTRO. A specially prepared halal buffet spread, priced at S$33.80++ per adult and S$18++ per child, includes traditional dishes such as satay, mee goreng, kambing soup and the all-time favourite, sliced beef with black pepper sauce. Western delicacies are also thrown into the mix, including fresh salads, delightful grills and an array or sweets.

CAFFE B’S ALL-NEW 3-COURSE LUNCH MENU. With four different options to choose from, including grilled sea bass in tomato and naganegi sauce; wagyu beef tataki, striploin marinated in Japanese sake and fresh Italian herbs, complimented with mash potato and Japanese sesame sauce. Indulge your sweet tooth in the chef’s own creation of lemon meringue tart, a delightfully crusty tart filled with the meringue artfully swirled atop. And it’s affordable at S$25.

WEEKENDS ARE THE BEST AT NUVO. Choose from pizzas like toasted nori, honey pineapple, and pesto and glazed ham to satiate your appetite. Pepper your pizza with mouth-watering toppings such as spiced tomatoes, clams, prawns, snapper and pecorino. BEAUTIFUL SPRING AT db BISTRO MODERNE. Using nothing but lush vegetables and done with a French flair, savour dishes such as the chilled jumbo asparagus with luxurious oscietra caviar, egg mimosa and a creamy asparagus puree, or the Boston lobster salad, which incorporates sweet gem lettuce, horseradish, tomato and celery with a spicy French dressing. For something more substantial, opt for the seared diver scallops, paired with spring bean cassoulet, Iberico ham, quail eggs and tomato confit.

CAROUSEL GOES MEDITERRANEAN. Guest chef Esmeraldo Oteruelo offers Spanish specialities including the Paella Mixta, a fragrant mixed rice dish with fresh seafood. Another sumptuous option would be the Zarzuela de Mariscos a la Catalana, a traditional Catalan fish stew. Or feast on the popular Magret de Canard, a beautifully seared duck breast, sliced and served with a piquant sauce made from honey, orange and thyme. Dinner meals are available at S$78++ per person.

GET UP WITH BOCHINCHE’S BEAT PACKING DISTRICT. Bringing together great drinks, food and music from the handsome DJ John Ramsay this week. NEW ROCK SALT HAKATA RAMEN AT YOSHIMARU. Featuring its distinctive homemade ultra-thin noodles served in rich and flavourful tonkotsu (pork bone) broth, the dish (S$12) is prepared with shio dare (salt sauce). Complete the meal with side dishes of kushikatsu (pork cutlet skewers) at S$3.50 each and corn and butter (S$4.50). Of course, there’s also the classic chicken tempura (S$4.90) if you crave it.

RAMADAN AT 1 MARKET. Chef Wan has prepared a series of delicious halal dishes from all around the world. These include the Bubur Manado, Chicken Kuzi and Lebanese Chicken Rice. A group of four can enjoy a special 4-for-3 promotion, where the fourth person dines for free.

FAMILIAR FAVES AT SENSO RISTORANTE & BAR. Commemorating its 14th anniversary, a sense of nostalgia is evoked with the Vitello Tonnato, (S$28), sliced veal served with a rich creamy sauce flavoured with tuna. And there’s the timeless pairing of green asparagus and morels (S$24). Lastly, the Manzo (S$32), a sell-out dish when it was first introduced in 2010, is dover sole served a la meuniere, with a little orange zest, rucola and ripened tomatoes. Until July 31. MANHATTAN FISH MARKET UNVEILS TWO STAR DISHES. From the land, succulent lamb stew cooked in fragrant herbs of oregano and rosemary, accompanied by leafy greens simmered to perfection, as well as a generous slice of grilled dory, fried calamari, broccoli and carrots. From the sea, the fish rendang is cooked in fragrant coconut milk and a blend of exotic spices. For those craving the best of both worlds, try the lamb stew and fish rendang Platter at S$37.95.

CELEBRATE THE FEEL FUKUI FOOD FESTIVAL. Relish limited edition sakes from Fukui, such as the Mori Shuzo, Kokuryu Shuzo, Tokoyama Shuzo and Kubota Shuzo.
