New Year's Eve festivities for everyone

From giant inflatables to outdoor movie screenings, music performances and more, the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2017 has something for everyone to enjoy on New Year's Eve.

How would you like to spend the last day of 2016 conquering massive inflatable obstacles and slides? Or perhaps you’d like to enjoy a night out in the city and rock out with your friends to hot acts like Hoobastank and Alicia Keys?

Head to the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2017! It’s the biggest countdown event in Singapore that gives everyone — from revellers to families — the chance to close out the year doing what they love, or even trying something completely new.

What’s more, this year’s event will span a larger celebration area from within Marina Bay to include the Civic District, promising an exciting night out in the heart of the city for more to come together to usher in the New Year.

Check out these marvellous ways to say Auld Lang Syne to 2016.

1. FOR THRILL SEEKERS

This largest outdoor inflatable play space will send you high into the air with all the bouncing and jumping you'll be doing. Just how big is it? Over 40,000sqm with more than 30 inflatable rides.

Leap off Southeast Asia's tallest blob jump that lets you take in the entire bay's scenery. Don't forget to try out the giant inflatable version of beer pong, and tuck into a delightful selection of international cuisines and local favourites. Selected inflatables at The Promontory are open for free on New Year's Eve.

You'll want to catch the final Facade Show at The Fullerton Hotel. It signals the start of the countdown at 11.54pm as it begins with a 3D projection display, reminiscent of a majestic sunrise that is inspired by the promise of a new day, leading to a special countdown sequence at 11.59pm.

See the buildings around Marina Bay and the night sky above them come alive with illumination, and explode into an eight-minute fireworks display at the stroke of midnight, which integrates laser, light and flame effects for the very first time. Treat your ears to the specially arranged tune of Glaciers, a song written by local instrumental rock band In Each Hand A Cutlass.
