3 Ways To Style a LBD

You grouse about having a wardrobe full of clothes and yet there's never anything to wear. We get it — seeing the same pieces hanging in your closet day after day can rouse ennui even in the Rachel-I-have-a-warehouse-full-of-clothes-Zoes of the world. You're not alone.

The trick, my soigné readers, is to invest in basic (not to be confused with boring) pieces that, with a little creativity, can be styled in myriad ways so that they can take you from the office one day to a rock concert or a dinner date on another. No one would ever guess you're wearing the same thing for the 10th time. And the good news is, you probably already have a dozen of them idling in your closet.

But let's walk the talk. We dressed style blogger/sXs community member Trishna G up in a faux-leather mini slip tunic dress fromDKNY's Fall/Winter2014 collection, and created three very different looks with it — in addition to donning it on its own for a fourth.

Look 1: Hide And Chic
Mini V-neck slip tunic dress, DKNY, S$490; Black neoprene perforated top, S$210, DKNY Jeans; Sneakers, Trishna's own.

Look 2: Too Cool For School
Mini V-neck slip tunic dress, S$490; Logo Varsity Jacket, S$1,390; Both DKNY.

Look 3: Take It From The Boys
Mini V-neck slip tunic dress, DKNY, S$490; Men's denim shirt, S$230, DKNY Jeans.

There you have it: One LBD, three LOTDs. Easy!
