5 Questions With Sharon Au & Rosalyn Lee
Q: What charity organisation/causes do you personally support, and why?
Sharon Au: I support a number of homes for children and young people who come from dysfunctional families and are in need of shelter, kids who are abused and neglected. Very personal reasons: I was once in need of such help, but could find nowhere to turn to.
Rosalyn Lee: The charity I support now happens to be the adopted charity for radio station Lush 99.5FM (where I'm presenter): The Autism Association (Singapore).
Q: What does it mean to you to be a "Shop For Good" Ambassador?
Sharon Au: I would like to think that I'm playing my little part in inspiring people to join this movement. And being a part of styleXstyle gives me a bigger platform on which to raise awareness, and hopefully the buzz we create together will encourage more people to keep doing good, even while they are shopping.
Rosalyn Lee: It is an honour to be an ambassador for the inaugural "Shop For Good" campaign. I'm also stoked to be fronting this campaign with fellow individuals I respect. It is a genuinely meaningful campaign and, of course, I'd always jump at the chance to use my reach to effect positive change.
Q: Let’s get to the “shop” part of the campaign. What are five things you are likely to buy if you had five minutes alone at TANGS?
Sharon Au: Five Krispy Kreme original glazed doughnuts!
Rosalyn Lee: Oh, I've had the answer to this for years now! It may surprise you, but I'm a kitchen nazi, so I've always had eyes for kitchenware. I'd grab a KitchenAid mixer in black and white, a cast-iron grill pan, a set of knives from WMF, and double-wall glass cups from Bodum. :)
Q: When it comes to shopping, what is your ultimate weakness?
Sharon Au: When I am buying a gift for someone special. That is my weakness.
Rosalyn Lee: I'm pretty strong-willed, I don't purchase items on a whim. Although, I do gravitate towards leather: Jackets, bags and accessories.
Q: What kind of shopper are you?
- Impulsive (you like, you buy, sweat it later.)
- Chill (window shopper, there’s no objective, really — except maybe a good cardio workout!)
- OCD (super systematic, with a checklist in toll.)
- Social shopper (you only shop if a friend insists you tag along. Otherwise, no thanks.)
- Bargain hunter (you know where all the best deals are and make a beeline for them.)
- Others (Please expound)
Sharon Au: A — impulsive.
Rosalyn Lee: F (refer to previous answer.)
