Housekeeping: Reduce bacteria growth by hanging and airing your denims even when they’re not being worn. Avoid folding your jeans as it creates undesired creases. Hang them using the belt loops instead.

Hygiene: Go as long as you can without washing your denims but adjust accordingly based on your frequency of wear. Put your denims in a Ziploc bag and freeze them overnight to remove bacteria and odour.

Shopping: Choose a flattering cut for your body shape and take your time to get the right fit — walk around, sit and squat. Unless you want a major case of builder’s bum. VINCENT LEE
