Five other dream collaborations we love

ELIN KLING x GUESS BY MARCIANO (2012). Sweden’s most popular fashion blogger, Elin Kling, worked with GUESS by Marciano two years ago to unveil a capsule collection, which included oversized knits, cigarette-cut jeans and edgy frocks. These pieces reflect Kling’s minimalist Scandi-cool style and were a hit with fashionistas the world over. A limited selection from the collection was made available here.

MARNI x H&M (2012). Without a doubt, H&M bags the coolest designer collaborations. The Marni x H&M collection was a winner two years ago in everyone’s books, with the collection selling out across stores everywhere. (Yes, we’re bummed to have not been able to get our paws on those gorgeous baubles, printed dresses and polka-dot pieces that stole our hearts. An encore, please?)

SOPHIA WEBSTER x J.CREW (2014). Young Brit shoe designer Sophia Webster, who formerly assisted Nicholas Kirkwood for his eponymous label, has been churning out colourful statement-making shoes since Spring 2013 and has worked with American brand J.Crew for its Spring/Summer 2014 collection. The result? Fun, flirty and pattern-clashing heels that should belong in our cabinets now. In the meantime, let us continue practising walking in those four-inch heels. Available end of this month on http://www.jcrew.com.

CHRISTOPHER KANE x TOPSHOP (2009) AND J W ANDERSON x TOPSHOP (2012). We can’t decide which we love more: Kane’s crocodile- and gorilla-print tops and dresses or Anderson’s graphic-print tees and turtle/zebra-print jeans.

JIL SANDER x UNIQLO (2009 TO 2011). Every other person we know adores the +J collection, Jil Sander and Uniqlo’s creation from 2009 to 2011. Clean cuts, primary and dark hues, minimalist styling and quality choices made the collection — and the Japanese retailer — a hit. Needless to say, many hope to see a similar pairing soon.
