Game Of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke is new face of Dior

Case in point? The announcement that British Game Of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke is new face of the Rose des Vents fine jewellery collection.

It’s the first time Clarke, 29, has fronted a campaign for a luxury brand — but perhaps we should have seen it coming. She was the star attraction at the spring/summer 2016 Dior show in October, to which she wore one of the brand’s iconic tuxedo dresses.

But Dior has made a great selection: Clarke was also selected as the Sexiest Woman Alive for 2015 by Esquire magazine.

The campaign, shot by Patrick Demarchelier, shows a windswept Clarke wearing the necklaces, which are available in long and short styles in yellow and rose gold with diamonds, white mother of pearl and pink opal.

Clarke is best known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO series Game Of Thrones, and will soon appear in Me Before You, the big-screen adaptation of the Jojo Moyes novel of the same name.

She joins a very starry cast in her new role as a face of Dior — fellow spokesmodels include Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, Marion Cotillard and Charlize Theron. THE DAILY TELEGRAPH
