LONDON — Following on from their duets album Cheek To Cheek, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett have taken centre stage in the Swedish high street brand’s Christmas ad campaign, which sees a flurry of top models party Gatsby-style as Gaga and Bennett croon, It Don’t Mean A Thing (If You Ain’t Got That Swing).
Models such as Joan Smalls and Sasha Pivovarova are clad in H&M’s winter warmers and party frocks, while the ever outrageous Gaga wears a huge curly wig while dressed in an emerald green gown.
“We were inspired by the glitz, glamour and opulence of the 1940s big band era,” said Johan Renck, director of the commercial. “The mood is one of festive celebration shot through with a strong sense of fashion and an underlying humour. It is intriguing, curious, exuberant, audacious and filled with wonder.” THE DAILY TELEGRAPH
