Raffles City has collaborated with well-known Japanese lifestyle brand, Craftholic. to bring a whimsical Christmas with its first pop-up collaboration. Shoppers can soak in the warmth and joy with a series of Craftholic-themed activities such as the Art In The City Craftholic workshops that include a 3D card-making workshop (4pm) and hairband-making workshop (5pm). Limited to 50 pax per session. Exclusive Craftholic merchandise will also be available at the pop-up store.

Non-profit organisation National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) is holding the second edition of Giving Week until Dec 5. NVPC hopes to increase awareness anbd educate and engage Singaporeans about charitable giving and volunteerism. Signing up for a workshop by Youth Corps Singapore to help address challenging issues in the community and meet like-minded youths today; or attend a micro-volunteering event with local brand Naiise called Knitting Beanies For Nepali Babies. Happening tomorrow at The Cathay, you can learn how to knit beanies with volunteers, and these will be sent to homeless children in Nepal who are unprotected from the winter weather.

Singapore’s book and stationary event, BookFest@Singapore, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Book fanatics can look forward to indulge in book-signing events, sharing and autograph sessions, cooking demonstrations and musical showcases. Local artistes or authors that will be present during the event include renowned Singaporean singer-songwriter Liang Wenfu, who will be performing songs of his famous hits written for pop stars Jacky Cheung and Andy Lau in an exclusive music showcase; and hosting an autograph session for his new album I Hear The Sound Of Dawn (5pm); as well as Singaporean actor Li Nanxing, who will launch his autobiography, The Real Picture, on Dec 11 
from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.

SPARKLE OF YOUTH ART EXHIBITION

This is your last chance to see artworks by the students and alumni from home-grown grassroots art community Young Artists’ Club. The community is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a public art exhibition titled Sparkle Of Youth. There will be more than 200 paintings displayed, with each art piece a visual recollection of places around Singapore and the world, as seen through the eyes of the youths.

Families can also partake in various workshops such as farm tours and Making (Plant) Babies, where they can learn the skills of propagation and plant cutting and grow their own food at home. Both are organised by Edible Garden City.

Following its launch party in late August, Singapore’s integrated sports centre The Yard is opening its doors for its first Christmas Festival on Dec 11. Get to witness the team putting on an acrobatic spectacle, featuring high-performance gymnastics, trampolining and parkour displays. You can also shop for a few last-minute Christmas gifts at the vendors marketplace, which features more than 50 boutiques.
