But if you can’t, take heart. They’ve offered three quick fixes that can help you anytime, anywhere.
1. USE TOWELS AS A YOGA MAT. “I do some yoga in my room before bedtime and sometimes, first thing in the morning,” said Stiles. “I never travel with a mat. I don’t even own one. I always use whatever is around. Usually it’s a towel, which is totally fine and works great. I love to get in a few moments of mediation in the morning before the day starts to get me feeling connected and inspired.”
2. DO BREATHING EXERCISES TO DISPEL NEGATIVITY. “I believe mindfulness-living is the key to prevent and protect any individual from the negative circle,” said Dr Thienarrom. “However the mind needs to be trained in order for it to be strengthened. I would usually suggest doing a simple exercise: Sit upright and try to lengthen the abdominal muscles while taking deep breaths. Visualise sending a big smile to your heart. This practice will help individuals to loosen up. It promotes better (blood) circulation to your head, allows the chi to flow better, and promotes concentration at the same time. When the mind is tight(ly wound), physical tension is not released easily. It is, therefore, important for the mind to be relaxed so that any physical tension can be released from the body.”
3. ASK YOUR HOTEL. “Hotels often offer a variety of options, from group yoga classes to a free yoga mat to discounts to a nearby gym or studio. These are things you might not know unless you ask,” summed up Stiles.
