It’s all part of the new worldwide campaign by Airbnb called One Less Stranger. The vacation rental company has promised to give $10 to 100,000 Airbnb community members - amounting to $1 million in total. (In Singapore, you’ll get S$10.) These members are encouraged pay it forward through creative gestures and random acts of kindness. All you have to do is document your act of kindness and share it with the hashtag #onelessstranger on social media platforms.
Airbnb co-founder and CEO Brian Chesky called this initiative “a fun little experiment” to rid the world of strangers and bring the global community closer together. In Singapore, Airbnb will be holding a meet-up for this campaign on Jan 9 at Kuvo restaurant where S$10 will be given away to the first 100 people there.
