SINGAPORE — If you’re a self-respecting Star Wars fan, you might want to be at Legoland Malaysia on May 3 and 4.
The theme park is celebrating Star Wars Days in a big way — starting with a special Imperial March parade at 10.30am with members of various Star Wars and Lego fan clubs in Singapore and Malaysia.
There will also be a display of the winning models submitted for the Star Wars-themed Lego competition that was held between January and March. A total of 55 entries (10 from Singapore) were submitted across three age groups ranging from Kidz Builder for children aged 9 or younger, to Master Builders who are 16 years old and above.
On top of that, there are Star Wars-themed activities throughout the month of May to mark the occasion, which includes building stations for guests, a Lego Star Wars photo wall and workshops for kids.
“This is the biggest May 4th celebration Legoland has organised,” said Mark Germyn, General Manager of Legoland Malaysia Resort. “We are honoured to be able to support and engage with Lego fans for the activity.”
Lego fans are encouraged to participate in the festivities as the first 500 fans to come dressed as their favourite Star Wars character on May 4th will receive a goodie bag consisting of a shopping voucher worth RM100 (S$37) from Legoland Malaysia, an exclusive LEGO Star Wars Stormtrooper Sergeant Minifigure, LEGO Star Wars Microfighter set and LEGO Star Wars keychains.
