SINGAPORE — It’s May the 4th and Hong Kong Disneyland has decided to mark Star Wars Day by announcing its plans to give the themepark a Star Wars makeover from June 11.

Hong Kong Disneyland’s Tomorrowland will be transformed into all things Star Wars-related, where visitors soak up what it’s like be in a galaxy far, far away, and meet popular characters from the movie franchise.

Visitors can enter into a Star Wars battle between X-Wing starfighter and TIE fighters at “Hyperspace Mountain”, a reimagining of Space Mountain. They can also flex their lightsaber skills while facing off against villains such as Darth Vader, the Seventh Sister Inquisitor and Kylo Ren in Jedi Training: Trials Of The Temple. One can also join the Resistance and meet Chewbacca in a hidden base called Star Wars: Command Post.

To complete the experience, there will also be Star Wars-themed food (Think: Darth Vader burger combos and Star Wars sundae cones). And of course, there will be tonnes of merchandise available, including the newly launched Star Wars Tsum Tsums, collectibles, droids and light sabers.

Of course, if you must have everything Star Wars, the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel will also be offering Star Wars-themed room decoration packages, which include an exclusive Star Wars door sticker, slippers, bed runner and a themed chocolate and cookies set.

The force is definitely strong in Hong Kong.
