Resorts World Sentosa is offering special promotions to celebrate the nation's 52nd birthday. Starting from Aug 1 to Sep 30, families can head over to Universal Studios Singapore (USS) and enjoy a S$52 discount on a bundle of four adult one-day tickets (USP: S$304) or visit S.E.A. Aquarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark, S$52 for two adults at each attraction.

Science Centre Singapore is offering one-for-one entry from Aug 5 to 13. The tickets are only valid for the redemption of an equal value ticket, which means one adult ticket will entitle them to one adult ticket. Science Centre Singapore will be closed on Aug 7 for maintenance works. At Snow City, visitors can enjoy a promotional price of S$5.20 (USP: S$15) for an hour of snow play. The promotion ends on Aug 31.

CIVIC DISTRICT OUTDOOR FESTIVAL

The first edition of Civic District Outdoor Festival will see multimedia projections being mapped onto four heritage buildings for the first time over two weekends. Visitors can enjoy multimedia, light and art shows at the National Gallery Singapore and Asian Civilisation Museum. There will also be a art installation of large illuminated inflatable rabbits, the tallest at 7m designed by Tasmanian artist Amanda Parer, and live performances by homegrown musicians Inch Chua and MICappella at Padang Atrium, National Gallery Singapore. Performances will start from 6pm.

Outdoor festival Films At The Fort returns for its fifth edition from Aug 3 to 20. Catch classic film Thelma and Louise starring American actress Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon on Aug 5 and American biographical drama film Hidden Figures, which was nominated for three Academy Awards, on Aug 6. The film stars Amercian actress Taraji P.Henson, actress-author Octavia Spencer and actress-singer Janelle Monae. Other films include: psychological thriller Get Out on Aug 8 and action comedy film Baywatch on Aug 9.
