Urban Ventures is taking over Keong Saik Road and Jiak Chuan Road on Feb 18. Twenty-one local up-and-coming bands from the Noise Music Mentorship Program 2016 will play across three stages. Expect singer-songwriters such as Adia Tay and Mars (known for folk, soul and hip-hop fusion melodies) to take to the stage for live sets. DJs Brandon P and Oliver Osborne will play DJ sets. Artworks by local artist SKLO and street artist Samantha Lo, aka the Sticker Lady, will be on show.

From robotics to comic drawing, and craft art to instruments, there will be loads check out at Mint Museum of Toys, which previews upcoming workshops today. A Hello Robota! Intro Session will be organised for children aged from seven to 14. The hands-on introductory session will introduce little ones to vintage robots and robotics. Each session accomodates 10 participants. Registration is required. Entry is S$5, inclusive of light refreshments

Go on an educational journey at iPreciation’s latest group exhibition, Afterimage, showcasing five emerging artists from Asia. Works from Singaporean artist Hilmi Johandi, who has shown at New York’s Fred Torres Gallery, as well as Kenichiro Fukumoto, an award-winning artist from Japan, will be exhibited.

Head to the Family Fun Fest 2017, where kids can build a mini robot at the Think Big, Make Bot event (on today and tomorrow). Simple motors, batteries and common household objects will be used as materials for the mini-bot, which kids will be able to take home.
