Hunt for the next travel deal while shopping for fashion wares at Wanderlust Market. The event is open today and tomorrow, and is held in conjunction with bi-annual travel event Travel Revolution. DE ARTOO will hook you up with a fun temporary tattoo (choose from whimsical and tribal prints). And check out online store Olivian, which will be showcasing Singapore-themed artworks which feature attractions such as the Marina Bay Sands and the Merlion.

This is your last chance to catch an anime film at Golden Village’s Anime Film Festival, which ends tomorrow. The festival features four brand-new anime movies and two classic series, such as One Piece Film Gold and Genocidal Organ. The highly anticipated Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale has been released, too. There will also be anime merchandise booths, interactive game booths and a cosplay photo competition. Ticket prices are S$15.

Zouk’s Capital Club opens at the new Zouk Complex in Clarke Quay with a Garden of Wonders party. Zouk’s Capital Club sports four zones, inclusive of an island bar, a private whisky bar, a cigar room and a plush VIP seating area. FIGHT FOR HOPE – SINGAPORE KICKBOXING NATIONALS

For the first time, Singapore Fighting Championship has collaborated with Trifecta Martial Arts to present the first Fight for Hope - Singapore Kickboxing Nationals today. Avid kickboxers or supporters can pay S$40 to go support local kickboxers such as Muay Thai fighter and boxer Nabilah Razak from YKM X TFT, who will compete with Daomayuly Chantilath from Vietnam. All profits from the ticket sales will be donated to the Children’s Wishing Well in support of the Kids Excel Program.

The successful event, Holi 2017, which received 6,000 visitors last year, is returning to Wave House Sentosa today. Party-goers can expect to find Singapore DJ Milan and DJ Baldave from Kuala Lumpur to provide the beats. There will also be a live band performance for the first time led by Punjabi singer Ravinder Bhinder, who sings with Singapore’s Harsha Channa.

The Tatinis art show, which launched yesterday, features an Art Journaling workshop, which will help you explore ways to keep an art journal. Artist Gloria Keh, founder of charity outreach programme Circles of Love, will lead the workshop. A notebook and colouring materials will be provided. Keh’s original artwork will also be for sale, and all proceeds from purchases of her work will go to the local charity ARC Children’s Centre.

Buy SingLit Festival aims to celebrate established and independent authors. Expect to find volumes from publishers such as Epigram books, Ethos Books and Bubbly Books. Attend a talk moderated by writer-editor Ian Chung, which will explore the topic of whether, and why, Singaporeans are more receptive towards local or international literature. Panelists on board include Denise Tan from Closetful of Books, Leslie Lim from Pansing, and Felicia Low from Kinokuniya Bookstores.

 

ANIMAL HUMAN ALLIANCE PREMIERES WE ARE NOT A NUISANCE

We Are Not a Nuisance follows the real-life story of two cats, Ken Ken and Gold-D. Organised by Animal Human Alliance, the documentary looks at cases of “community cats” in Taiwan and Italy, and delves into how Singaporeans can help make our stray cats and feeders’ lives better. The 40-minute documentary was nominated for an award in the Accolade Global Film Competition. Showtimes are at 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm.

 

HEADS UP: LET’S FOCUS ON INCLUSION PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

The Society for Physically Disabled presents its photography exhibition, Let’s Focus on Inclusion, at Courts Megastore Tampines. On display from Feb 27 to March 5, the exhibition will feature over 25 photographs chosen from over 500 photo submissions from special needs and everyday photographers. One photograph to look out for is Chua Meng Hong’s submission, which shows Thai swimmer Anchaya Ketkeaw, who was born with a deformed right hand, in action at the ASEAN Paralympic Games.

The eighth edition of the Social Market by Open Farm Community returns next weekend. There will be over 30 vendors offering items such as house plants, sweet and sticky honey, natural scented candles and jars of homemade jam. Participants can attend a yoga class an the outdoor lawn, or see how to improve their gardening skills in a workshop held by Edible Garden City.
