MADAME TUSSAUDS SINGAPORE: CELEBRATING FATHERS 2016

All dads wearing the Dads For Life Celebrating Fathers wristband can enter Madame Tussauds for free when accompanied by a ticket holder. There will be activities prepared especially for dads, such as Spot The Dads where visitors get to identify the number of father figures on display. Cool father figures include Brad Pitt, David Beckham and Singapore’s founding father Lee Kuan Yew. Fathers will receive a limited edition Father Figures souvenir brochure. Until June 30. ARTS SPRAWL MARKET

Hosted by The Local People, today and tomorrow at 261 Waterloo Centre. The event will have activities such as colouring on art murals, listening to a live story-telling session, watching a movie screening at night and more. There will be a live performances by artistes, such as Stanley Ho and Strangerfox (they will be performing today from 5pm) and Twofoldsband, which will be performing on both days. From 5pm to 10pm. Admission is free.

SOAK OUT WATER PARTY AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPORE

Soak out at Universal Studios Singapore with the Minions, Sesame Street friends and Penguins of Madagascar today. The festival parade will run through select zones in the park where visitors can have a splashing good time. Close to 50 characters and entertainers will be there to join the water-play and dance to catchy music. The event will run daily from 5.30pm to 6pm until August 10. Admission fee to the park apply. ACTIVE SG MASS YOGA WORKOUT

In conjunction with the International Day Of Yoga celebrations to promote a healthy lifestyle in Singapore, ActiveSG is organising the biggest yoga workout in Singapore tomorrow, led by a group of volunteer yoga instructors from Nikam Yoga. Bring your own yoga mat. Located at Home of Athletic (HOA) Kallang, from 7am to 9am. Admission is free.

SHREK THE MUSICAL

A live adaption based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical continues for the second and final weekend. Expect hilarious moments as you follow his adventure to rescue the feisty princess, Fiona. The musical will also feature beloved favourites such as Donkey, antagonist Lord Farquaad, a cookie with an attitude and other fairytale misfits. Showing at MasterCard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands. Tickets start from S$65 from Sistic.

HEADS UP: SHINE FESTIVAL 2016

SHINE Festival returns to Orchard Road with the theme Your Next Stage. The festival seeks to celebrate the best of today’s youths and showcase their passion and talents. There will be more than 20 performances and activities such as the Art Market, organised by The Local People with up to 60 pop-up stalls, and a screening of Singaporean film 7 Letters. Expect a spectacular line-up from both international and local acts such as American-born Korean hip-hop sensation Jay Park who will be sharing the stage with local songwriter-rapper ShiGGa Shay. Located on Orchard Road, from *SCAPE to ION Orchard, from July 1 to 3. Admission is free.

HEADS UP: RABOBANK FAMILY FUN AND CHARITY CHALLENGE

Head to the ground floor of South Beach Tower on June 25 for Rabobank’s family fun and charity challenge day. The event aims to complete 30,000 pull-ups to raise 30,000kg of food for families in Boon Lay who are in need. Activities there include a family carnival with balloon sculpting, entertainment by international performers and a mass Sh’Bam dance session by True Fitness instructors. Admission is free.

HEADS UP: THE SNAG @ BISHAN

Bishan East-Thomson Grassroots Organisations is presenting an obstacle race suitable for all ages on July 17. Obstacles include Mega Adventure, tag team (shooting and archery), a flavour-tasting challenge and more. There will also be a special obstacle course created for toddlers. Enjoy live band performances from Simon Yong band, TOTORO and more. Located at the open field opposite Bishan Circle Line Exit D, from 7.30am to noon. Tickets are priced at S$5 from Bishan CC. Group tickets (for four people) are also available at S$15.
