Open Farm Community’s terrace and open-air carpark will be transformed into a marketplace for this event. A line-up of local farmers, producers and makers to offer up curated goods such as homemade honey and natural soy wax candles.Feeling peckish? Crack’s otah scotch eggs and raclette cheese from The Raclette Movement will be available. There will be cupcakes and card-making workshops.

Taste rare whiskeys such as the Exploratory Cask Finish rye whiskey from Willett at Proof & Company’s American Whiskey Weekend on May 20 and May 21. A myriad of inventive whisky cocktails from bars such as 28 HongKong Street, Employees Only, Manhattan and Skinny’s Lounge will be available for S$10 each. There will be masterclasses led by master distillers, brand ambassadors and industry experts. Try other spirits such as Blood Oath’s Bourbon Release #3.

Do you dare take on a military-inspired, Ninja Warrior-like obstacle course as part of the Gillette ProShield Challenge? The brand is celebrating 50 years of National Service, and the obstacle course was designed to let visitors experience what Singapore’s NSmen go through. Limited to the first 150 participants only. Participants who make it through the course will receive a pair of movie ticket vouchers. The brand’s Fusion ProShield Razor will be available at a discount, and can even be personalised.

Experience the feeling of being in outer space with virtual reality technology installations produced by students from Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Interactive and Digital Media from May 21 to May 23. Over 10 projects and immersive installations will be displayed at the ArtScience Museum.

Award-winning director Royston Tan presents a stunning opening show, Voyage, at the newly-opened Singapore Cultural Chinese Centre. The production, which stars actor Desmond Tan in a drum performance, will also see nursery rhymes and folk songs re-arranged by The Teng Ensemble. The visual spectacle will also star actress Li Yinzhu and getai singer Lee Peifen feature 3D projection mapping and holographic imagery that pay tribute to Chinese art forms.

FITNESS FEST 2017 BY AIA

Work out with American social-media entrepreneur Cassey Ho, creator of YouTube channel Blogilates, at the Fitness Fest event. Ho will be conducting a class based on her POP Pilates videos, where participants work out while listening to pop songs on May 20. On May 21, she will debut a new PIIT28 programme,an intense pilates interval training workout. There will also be parkour and acroyoga classes participants can join.

Masterchef Asia winner Woo Wai Leong presents masterclasses in Caribbean dishes at VivoCity’s Golden Village Gold Class lounge. The masterclasses, meant to promote the premiere of Pirates of The Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge, are on from May 25 to May 28. Tickets are at S$95. Members pay just S$89.
