This is your last chance to sip on the best wine and spirits at this year’s Wine & Whisky event. Running till Sunday, visitors will get to discover more than 500 labels from over 20 countries here. Look forward to discounts of up to 50 per cent at the event and snap up in-demand labels such as Chateau-Figeac, Pape Clement and Opus One, which are available for purchase.

GILLMAN BARRACKS ART DAY OUT!

Crafters rejoice! This year’s Art Day Out! event will feature precinct-wide art activities and programmes, including A Gillman Affair – an intimate art fair featuring specially selected artworks and publications by participating Gillman Barracks gallery tenants such as ARNDT Fine Art and Sullivan+Strumpf. The event will also see the launch of the Singapore Biennale 2016 affiliate project ArteFACT; Unearthing Relics of the Future – an outdoor art installation by Francis Ng today showcasing the concept of public and private spaces. Ng will also be holding two workshops for visitors.

ETSY MADE LOCAL EVENT

Capitol Piazza will house the first Etsy Made Local Market in Singapore, organised by Etsy Craftivist SG. Bringing some of Singapore’s best creatives together to connect makers and designers, there will be up to 45 local etsy sellers selling and showcasing their products, from handbags to apparel to paintings. In addition, there is a craft activity for shoppers to put together a community mural for a children’s charity.

POP UP ON THE HILL

Pop Up on the Hill returns to Tin Hill Social Kitchen & Bar with a Christmas edition. At the restaurant, diners will get to enjoy drink deals for both brunch and dinner, with a free flow of drinks such as prosecco, Pimm’s or selected wines, priced at S$35++. Dining aside, you can shop from brands such as online boutique theWYLDshop, a high street fashion brand, and Systrer, which offers bags and swimwear. To keep your little ones’ hands busy, there is a kids’ therapeutic play dough session where children can have fun with home-made play dough infused with essential oils.

Embark on an education journey at the Asian Civilisations Museum. Titled Port Cities: Multicultural Emporiums of Asia, 1500 – 1900, visitors will get to discover and learn the story of how the global flow of people, goods and ideas contributed to the evolution of multicultural societies in Singapore, and other port cities in Asia. The exhibition will feature over 180 objects, which include photographs, paintings, fashion, luxury goods and everyday objects.

ARTS IN YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD

Into its second and final edition, Arts in your Neighbourhood (AYN) has a slew of exciting activities lined up at Bedok (some events will also be taking place at various locations such as Toa Payoh and Tampines). In Bedok, visitors can go on a music trail around the neighbourhood in an open-top bus led by Chinese music maestro, Quek Ling Kiong, in Arts Imprints Around My Neighbourhood. It starts from Bedok Town Square, and will take visitors around Bedok’s heritage sites. The carpark behind Bedok Sports Complex will be closed as well, for a street carnival where you can look forward to live performances by artists such as Tim de Cotta & The Rock Warriors and MOTUS.

LIANG COURT PLAYS HOST TO POKEMON XY AND Z

This November, Liang Court is playing host to the movie Pokemon XY and Z with a wide range of activities prepared for all Pokemon lovers. Shoppers will be able to catch episodes of Pokemon XY and Z cartoon series at the main atrium. Workshops about Pokemon will also be conducted during the event where you can either learn how to build a Pokemon Nanoblock or make a Pokemon Cakepop. Merchandises such as Pokemon XY and Z backpacks, lunch bag and movie tickets will be available for shoppers to redeem too.

HEADS UP: CELEBRATE THE SUPERMOON 
AT FABER PEAK SINGAPORE

Singapore is set to enjoy the biggest full moon in close to 70 years, and Faber Peak Singapore has organised a supermoon special event on Nov 14 filled with a wide array of programmes and activities. During the event, guests can enjoy happy hour nights from 4pm to 11pm at The Lookout and Faber Bistro, or hop on a cable car to experience the supermoon up close. Tickets for the cable car ride will be priced as child prices (S$22 round trip) after 6pm.

HEADS UP: CARNIVAL OF SURPRISE AT AMK HUB

AMK Hub is spreading the christmas cheer with their event – Carnival of Surprises from Nov 18 onwards. The mall will be decked out with christmas decorations from a 7m lighted Christmas tree to life-size gift boxes, Santa decoration and candy canes. There will also be carnival rides such as a horse carousel and a pirate ship situated at Level 1 Main Entrance. Visitors can enjoy free rides every Monday, 12pm to 6pm. Shoppers who spend up to S$50 (or S$100 at FairPrice Xtra) will stand a chance to win Gold Bars that are worth S$38,000.

Savour is back with a Christmas edition for the first time to fufill all your holiday feasting needs. This time round, the Savour Farmer Market will consist of delectable delights such as London Roast Duck, Iberico Suckling Pig and the Hokkaido Lavender Soft Serve. The final showdown of the last 10 restaurants standing in the DBS Live Your Dream Initiative will be held during the event as well.
