Three nights of glitz and glamour await partygoers at The Podium Lounge from Sep 15 to Sep 17. Cuban percussionist Pablo Calzado will kick-off the party on Sep 15. Grammy award winning American rapper Coolio will feature on Sep 16 and American singer-songwriter Macy Gray on Sep 17. There will also be a live speed-painting performance by German artist Armin Flossdorf of F1 Arts joined by British portrait artist-sculptor Paul Oz, who has created work for British racer Jenson Button and American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars. Tickets are priced at S$218 and S$370 at door, inclusive of a bottle of champagne.

IKEA SINGAPORE'S YOUNG DESIGNER AWARD 2017 EXHIBITION

IKEA Singapore's Young Designer Award 2017 Exhibition, featuring innovative ideas and concepts from local and international students, returns for a fourth edition. Top five designs based on the theme 'The Climate Action Challenge' have been shortlisted and will be showcased at the exhibition. Expect to see designs such as Paliha, a portable and protective collapsible item that protects homes from floods designed by Reynard Seah and Gan Jie Lin from Nanyang Polytechnic and The Ström System, a drainage system that turns water into electricity designed by Casey Kwokdinata, Foo Heng Tong and Orion Dai from Nanyang Technological University. The winners will be announced on Sep 22 and they will win cash prize of S$1,500 and a trip to IKEA of Sweden.

YELLOW RIBBON PRISON RUN CARNIVAL

Artworks by inmates from Changi Prison will be featured at the Yellow Ribbon Prison Run Carnival. There will be a total of 14 artworks displayed at the event. There will also be live performances by inmates from Changi Prison's Performing Arts Centre. Visitors can also pen words of encouragement on the "Changi Wall" for inmates and ex-offenders.

BEERLICIOUS 2017
Venue: Kult Kafe, Emily Hill

Kult Kafe will play host to an outdoor craft beer and food fiesta, Beerlicious, during the Singapore Night Race weekend. Look forward to a comprehensive showcase of local and international craft beers at the event, including local brews Archipelago, Rye and Pint, Brewerkz and specialty beers from the United Kingdom, Canada and Poland. There will also be performances by Australian virtuoso guitarist & singer-songwriter Luke Buirski and local singer-songwriter Adia Tay.

AUTOMARKTIC BY JULS

Visual artist Juliana Ong, who goes by the handle Juls, explores different art mediums in her first solo show in Singapore. Featuring 20 pieces of varying sizes, Juls creates different textures with paint marker on paper, pencil on paper and paint maker on canvas. A time-laspe video projection documenting her art process will also be played on loop.

SPORTS HUB COMMUNITY PLAY DAY

Test your limit and make your way through the inverted wall climb, cargo net climb and multi-rig rings in the Warriors Obstacle Course at the upcoming Sports Hub Community Play Day. Form a team of two and complete the challenge to get a limited edition finisher tee each (while stocks last). A Family Warriors Challenge designed for families with children above five-years-old and 1.2m in height will also be part of the event. And basketball enthusiasts can pick up some skills from the basketball team Singapore Slingers and win prizes at their meet & greet sessions.

HEADS UP: SINGAPORE RED CROSS INTERNATIONAL BAZAAR

Singapore Red Cross will be organising their signature Red Cross International Bazaar next Sunday. Visitors can shop from food and merchandise at some 50 stalls. Highlights include Australian biscuits, Ukrainian dumplings and handmade jewellery and crafts. All proceeds will go to the local humanitarian services of Singapore Red Cross. Admission is free but coupon booklets containing S$10 worth of tickets is required for purchase of food, beverage and merchandise.

HEADS UP: THE GREAT FOOD FESTIVAL

Go on a gastronomic journey sampling from a smorgasbord of food at The GREAT Food Festival from Sep 21 to Sep 24. Featuring five segments, visitors can choose to savour from more than 50 dishes by chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants starting from S$10, indulge in up to 50 heritage inspired dishes from 10 different countries such as Spain and Indonesia, starting from S$6, and chomp on over 300 sweet treats at the dessert and pastry showcase event Rollin' Sweet Times.
