SEAA Wonders: Spooky Seas (pix)

Take your kids to the S.E.A. Aquarium for the Spooky Seas Adventure Trail. There will be 12 activity stations for a fun and educational adventure. Learn amazing facts about seemingly scary animals from aquarists and how their unique features make them appear creepy. Today and tomorrow, head for the Animal Defense sessions at 11.30am and 3pm, and the Marine Masquerade sessions at 1.30pm and 4.30pm at the Ocean Dome.

Art Rojak! $10 Workshops

Discover your child’s creativity and talents with these art workshops. This community initiative by The Playtent makes the arts accessible to everyone. Workshops are held every Saturday for this month and November, and range from performance storytelling to finger painting and public speaking. Today, check out the workshops Spruce-a-tee, Devising Theatre, Creative Writing, Prop Making and ProNUNciate! Each workshop lasts an hour.

Once upon a time in Asia: The Story Tree

This specially curated exhibition for children (ages four to nine) and the young at heart showcases original interactive ensembles inspired by the collections in the Asian Civilisations Museum. Embark on an exciting trail through the museum to uncover more secrets about trees and art-related facts. Or make artwork to take home. Also, look out for storytellers as they spin Asian tales in the galleries.

Halloween Prom 2014

This annual children-only Halloween costume party caters to kids between the ages of four and 12 years old. This year’s theme is Beat of the Drum and features rhythm, beats and rhymes through musical performances and workshops. There will also be pumpkin-carving demonstrations, trick-or-treating, games, interactive storytelling, craft sessions and dancing. Snacks will also be provided for your little ones. Advance registration is required.
