YOTEL is coming to town

Travellers rejoice!

Travellers rejoice!

There will soon be affordable accomodation options in the heart of town here. YOTEL announced today that it will be in Singapore soon, on Orchard Road no less.

The revolutionary cabin-sized room hotel first started in London’s Gatwick and Heathrow airports, but has gone into the city with the opening of its New York hotel in Times Square. This first Asian YOTEL will be located where International Building currently is, and the 600-cabin property is due to open in 2018.

“Given YOTEL is heavily inspired by Asian culture, it is fantastic that we are launching such an iconic project as our first in Asia,” said Gerard Greene, co-founder and CEO of YOTEL.

“YOTEL will bring a unique hotel experience to Singapore. It’s a perfect time for the city to embrace a new and exciting brand, a first for Singapore and the launch of affordable luxury for the hotel scene in Asia,” he added.

The YOTEL here will feature a Club Lounge space with Club cabins which work as meeting and work spaces during the day before transforming to a restaurant-bar space in the evenings and weekends, a large outdoor terrace space, a pool and a gym. There’s no word yet on whether YOTEL Singapore will see Yobot, the world’s first luggage storing robotic concierge as found in YOTEL New York. After this entry into Singapore, YOTEL will be rolling into more cities and airports in Asia.
