Okay, you’ve had your fun. Now it’s time to let the rest of the Night Fest audiences enjoy the artwork can?

The news has been circulating on Facebook: Artist Karen Mitchell’s interactive light installation titled Everyday Aspirations, programmed by The Substation for the Singapore Night Festival are missing 114 pieces—and anyone who’s, erm, borrowed any of them are requested to return them.

The work, which is found in the alley between the Sub and Peranakan Museum, comprises 365 aspirational words on wooden panels compiled from different people, which visitors can mix and match and take photos of.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Mitchell said: “Each word played a very important part in this artwork, and they belong to the artist. When any one piece is being removed, it deprives the others to enjoy the experience of interacting with this installation fully. We hope to seek your help to inform us if you know the whereabouts of any of the pieces.”

Word.

Actually, make that 114 words.

To return the works, call the Substation at 63377535 or simply drop by the alley on Aug 30 and 31 from 6pm onwards. The artist will be there. For more details on the Singapore Night Festival, visit http://www.brasbasahbugis.sg/SNFPortal/.
