A timely glance at a poster led to newly-wed Ms Tan Zhi Li (left) winning S$10,000 in the TODAY Shop To Win draw conducted on Jan 25. Her winning receipt was for an LG air-conditioner worth S$3,551 from Marina Square’s Gain City, where she had been shopping for electrical appliances to use in her new home. “I was shocked when I got the call as this windfall really comes in handy and right on time,” said Ms Tan. The civil servant will use her winnings to buy more appliances such as a television and refrigerator. This is the first time Ms Tan has participated in Shop to Win.
Reading TODAY regularly paid off handsomely for Mr Goh Chong Seng. The 58-year-old took part in the TODAY Shop To Win draw conducted on Jan 18 and won S$10,000.
Buying a camera for her teenage son to use on his school excursions led to Ms Eileen Tan winning S$10,000 in the TODAY Shop to Win draw conducted on Jan 11. The 47-year-old dermatologist, who is taking part in Shop to Win for the first time, recently spent S$450 on a Nikon COOLPIX AW130 compact camera at Harvey Norman in Raffles City. “I decided to buy the COOLPIX AW130 because I heard Nikon cameras are tough, I’m pleasantly surprised that it led to this prize,” said Ms Tan.
A shopping receipt, almost forgotten, made Ms Tan Ai Shok S$10,000 richer in the TODAY Shop To Win weekly draw conducted on Jan 4. The 56-year-old clerk, who was taking part in the draw for the first time, recently spent S$183.50 on clothes for her husband at OG Albert Complex. “It was a stroke of good fortune that I chanced upon the receipt and remembered that I had to participate in this promotion,” said Ms Tan. She is seen here receiving the S$10,000 cheque from Ms Sally Tang (above, right), general manager (Operation and Marketing) at OG.
