Q: What are the participating outlets and how do I take part?

A: Refer to the JOIN THE CONTEST section. There is a calendar of qualifying weeks and participating brands for your reference. Simply spend a minimum of S$30 at the participating retail outlets/brands. A maximum of two same day receipts can be combined to accumulate the amount. Retain receipt as proof of purchase. Submit your entries via SMS, the TODAY App or the website. Shop at the respective outlets for a chance to win S$10,000 in the Weekly Draws or S$30,000 in the Grand Draw

 

Q: When does the TODAY Shop to Win contest ends?

A: The contest will end on 30 August 2015. Refer to the calendar in the JOIN THE CONTEST section. 

 

Q: If I shop at an outlet that is not within the qualifying week, will I still qualify for the S$10,000 weekly prize?

A: No. Only purchases from the weekly brands will qualify for the weekly prizes. However, you still stand a chance to win S$30,000 in the grand draw. To qualify for the Weekly Draws, entries must be received by 2359hour each Sunday. All entries received before 30 August 2015 by 2359hour will qualify for the Grand Draw. 

 

Q: How is the draw conducted?

A: Entries are electronically selected at random from the database. The draws are conducted at the MediaCorp reception every Monday morning.

 

Q: How will I know if I have been selected for the weekly or grand draws?

A: You will be contacted at the number you provided in the entry form. 

 

Q: Am I the winner if you have called me?

A: Participants will not be declared winners until all verification checks have been satisfied.

 

Q: I was unable to return your call several days ago; do I still qualify as the winner?

A: If a participant cannot be contacted or fails to respond by the end of the next working day after the draw, this participant will be disqualified and another winner will be selected.

 

Q: I lost my receipt; do I still qualify if I have been selected?

A: All original receipts must be retained and provided as proof of purchase.

 

Q: Where can I get regular updates about TODAY Shop to Win?

A: The TODAY newspaper and contest website at www.todayonline.com/shoptowin. Also, posters displayed at participating outlets.

 

Q: Can I submit multiple entries?

Terms & conditions

Contest Qualification

1. This promotion is open to all patrons of participating retail outlets/brands, except for employees of MediaCorp Pte. Ltd. and MediaCorp Press Ltd ("MediaCorp"), participating outlets/brands, and their respective immediate family members. 

2. This promotion is valid from 25 May 2015 – 30 August 2015.

3. This promotion is only open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents who are at least 18 years old.

4. Participants must spend a minimum of S$30.00 at the participating retail outlets/brands. A maximum of two same day receipts can be combined to accumulate the amount.  Spend is not limited to any specific products or services provided by the participating merchant, and may include vouchers. 

5. Every S$30.00 spent entitles the participant to one lucky draw chance subject to a maximum of 300 lucky draw chances per entry. Participants who charge their purchase to the official credit card are entitled to double the chances subject to a maximum of 600 chances per entry. Participants must retain their original receipts as proof of purchase. 

6. Entries can be submitted via SMS, the TODAY App or the online form. Each SMS costs S$0.21 and will be charged to the participant’s mobile phone bill. SMS Service Provider: MediaCorp Pte Ltd. Customer Service: 6877 7132. 

7. To qualify for the Weekly Draws, entries must be received by 2359hour each Sunday. Erroneous or incomplete SMS/online submissions will be disqualified. All entries received before 30 August 2015 by 2359hour will qualify for the Grand Draw. 

8. Previous winners in Shop to Win draws in the past 12 months will not qualify for the draws in this campaign. MediaCorp reserves the right to disqualify any such entries from previous winners at any point in time. 

 

Drawing of Winner(s)

9. One (1) winner will be drawn for each Weekly Draw and the Grand Draw, respectively. The Weekly Draws will be conducted every Monday at Caldecott Broadcast Centre, Andrew Road, Singapore 299939. The Grand Draw will be conducted on the Monday after the promotion concludes, at the same venue. 

10. The winner for the Grand Draw will win S$30,000 cash and each winner for each of the Weekly Draws will win S$10,000 cash.

11. Participants will be contacted on the same day of the draw through the telephone number provided on the contest entry and must satisfy a verification process before being declared the winner. Participants must provide proof of purchase (original receipts) and a copy of their NRIC for verification. If a participant cannot be contacted or fails to respond by the end of the next working day after the draw, this participant will be disqualified and another winner will be selected. MediaCorp’s decision shall be final and irrevocable. 

12. Participants are solely responsible for payment of all taxes and levies resulting from participation and/or winning of prizes in this promotion. 

13. The award of the prizes are subject to certain terms and conditions and the winners must agree to such terms and conditions in writing in order to receive the prize. MediaCorp reserves the right to declare no winner for any draw if it is unable to contact or verify participants after repeated attempts or for any other reason whatsoever. 

14. Participants must produce their original proof of purchase for verification as and when required by MediaCorp and the proof of purchase (official original receipts and/or warranty cards - if any) must include the name of retailers, product description, date and value of purchase. Entries with any discrepancies shall be disqualified. Another winner will be drawn and the same verification process shall accordingly be applied for this participant. 

15. All winners will thereafter be notified by email. All winners must produce their original NRIC to collect the prizes. 

16. By participating in this promotion, the winners agree to participate in any form of publicity for this promotion, and to allow MediaCorp to use their personal data, photographs and video/audio recordings for marketing & promotional purposes. MediaCorp reserves the right to disqualify the winner(s) in the event that the winner(s) refuses or fails to participate in such publicity for this promotion. 

17. Prizes are non-transferable or exchangeable for cash, credit, goods or services. MediaCorp reserves the right to replace the prizes with other items of similar value without giving prior notice. Unclaimed prizes will be donated to a charitable organization of MediaCorp’s choice. 

18. By participating in this promotion, the participant agrees to be bound by the official rules, regulations and decisions of MediaCorp. MediaCorp reserves the right to disqualify any winners if he/she is found to have violated the rules and regulations in any way. The decisions of MediaCorp on all matters relating to this promotion are final, conclusive and binding and

19. MediaCorp reserves the right to reject any entry for any reason.

20.  MediaCorp reserves the right to change, amend and withdraw any of the terms and conditions without prior notice.

 

Personal Data

21. Each participant’s personal data will be collected, used, disclosed and/or processed by MediaCorp and the MediaCorp group of companies (collectively “MediaCorp”) for the following purposes: 
(a) For MediaCorp or its designated representatives or business partners to provide goods and services to you or parties designated by you and matters ancillary thereto. 
(b) To verify and process payment when you purchase goods and services from MediaCorp. 
(c) For verification and record of your personal particulars including comparing it with information from other sources and using the information to communicate with you. 
(d) For research and analysis, including surveys and polls. 
(e) To send you notices, information, promotions and updates including marketing and advertising materials in relation to MediaCorp’s goods and services and those of third party organizations selected by MediaCorp. 
(f) To be disclosed to the sponsors/advertisers for the purpose of prize collection. 
(g) To comply with any request from any third party or any order of court or directive from authorities investigating any alleged offence or misconduct or for the purposes of taking legal action against any you. 

22. By participating in this contest, each participant: 
(a) consent to MediaCorp collecting, using, disclosing and/or processing your personal data for the purposes as described in Clause 21 above; 
(b) consent to MediaCorp transferring your personal data out of Singapore to MediaCorp’s third party service providers or agents for the purposes as described in Clause 21 above.
