Q: Which are the participating outlets and what are the procedures?

A: Refer to ‘JOIN THE CONTEST’ section. There is a calendar of participating outlets and their respective qualifying weeks. To stand a chance to win $10,000 Weekly Prizes, shop at the participating merchant and include the unique shop code to your entry. Shop at any other participating merchants for a chance to qualify for the Grand Prize.


Q: When does the promotion end?

A: Refer to ‘JOIN THE CONTEST’ section.


Q: If I shop at an outlet outside of the list of weekly participating merchants, will I qualify for the $10,000 Weekly Prize?

A: No. Only purchases from the merchants within the qualifying weeks will qualify for the Weekly Prize. However, any purchase from any one of the participating merchants will qualify you for a chance to win the Grand Prize.


Q: I shopped at an outlet but not within the Weekly Prize period. Must I still include the unique shop code to my SMS?

A: No. If you did not shop at the participating merchants within the specific week, you do not need to. Your entry will still qualify you for a chance to win the Grand Prize.


Q: Where do I include the unique shop code in my SMS entry?

A: Include the unique shop code at the end of your SMS. Refer to ‘JOIN THE CONTEST’ section.


Q: I have lost my receipt; would I still qualify if I have been selected?

A: No. Original receipts must be retained and provided as proof of purchase. Participants will not be declared winners until all verification checks are satisfied.


Q: Where can I get information about this promotion?

A: TODAY publishes the advertisement weekly. There are also posters displayed in participating outlets.


Q: Can I send in multiple entries?

A: MediaCorp’s database system will filter out repeated entries. Every $30 spent in a single receipt will entitle you to one lucky draw chance. If you have been selected and are unable to provide proof of purchase, you will be disqualified and another participant will be picked.


Q: I do not have a Maybank credit card. Can I charge my purchase to another bank’s credit card?

A: Yes, but you will not receive double the chances of winning.

Contest Qualification

1. This promotion is open to all patrons of participating retail outlets/brands, except for employees of MediaCorp Pte. Ltd. and MediaCorp Press Ltd ("MediaCorp"), participating outlets/brands, and their respective immediate family members. 

2. This promotion is valid from 19 May 2014 – 31 August 2014

3. Participants must spend a minimum of S$30.00 at participating retail outlets/brands in a single receipt on the same day. Spend is not limited to any specific products or services provided by the participating merchant, and may include vouchers. 

4. Every S$30.00 spent entitles the participant to one lucky draw chance subject to a maximum of 300 chances per receipt. Participants who charge their purchase to the Maybank card are entitled to double the chances subject to a maximum of 600 chances per receipt. Participants must retain original receipts as proof of purchase. 

5. Receipts obtained from shops at Suntec City and Sim Lim Square must be validated with the shopping mall’s stamp. Receipts not validated by the shopping mall do not qualify as proof of purchase. 

6. Entries can be submitted via SMS or the online form. Each SMS costs S$0.21 and will be charged to the participant’s mobile phone bill. SMS Service Provider: MediaCorp Pte Ltd. Customer Service: 6877 7132. 

7. To qualify for the weekly draws, entries must be received by 11.59pm each Sunday. Erroneous or incomplete SMS or online submissions will be disqualified. All entries qualify for the Grand Draw. 

Drawing of Winner(s)

8. One (1) winner will be drawn for each Weekly Draw, Mid-Season Draw and the Grand Draw, respectively. The weekly and mid-season draws will be conducted every Monday at Caldecott Broadcast Centre, Andrew Road, Singapore 299939. The grand draw will be conducted on the Monday after the promotion concludes, at the same venue. Participants will be contacted on the same day of the draw at the telephone number provided on the contest entry and must satisfy a verification process before being declared the winner. Participants must provide proof of purchase (original receipts) and a copy of their NRIC/Passport for verification. Participants must agree to accept the prize in writing and avail themselves for a photo presentation on Wednesday or Thursday that same week. 

9. If a participant cannot be contacted or fails to respond by the end of the next working day after the draw, that participant will be disqualified and another winner will be selected. MediaCorp’s decision shall be final and irrevocable. 

10. Participants are solely responsible for payment of all taxes and levies resulting from participation and/or winning of prizes in this promotion. 

11. Participants who are unable to be present for the prize presentation can appoint a representative on their behalf. MediaCorp reserves the right to declare no winner for any draw if it is unable to contact & verify participants after repeated attempts or for any other reason whatsoever. 

12. Participants must produce original proof of purchase for verification as and when required by MediaCorp and the proof of purchase (official original receipts and/or warranty cards - if any) must include the name of retailers, product description, date and value of purchase. Entries with any discrepancies shall be disqualified. Another winner will be drawn and the same verification process shall accordingly be applied for this participant. 

13. All winners will thereafter be notified by email. All winners must produce their original NRIC/passport to collect the prizes. 

14. By participating in this promotion, the winners agree to participate in any form of publicity for this promotion, and to allow MediaCorp to use their photographs and video/audio recordings for marketing & promotional purposes. MediaCorp reserves the right to disqualify the winner(s) in the event that the winner(s) refuses or fails to participate in such publicity for this promotion. 

15. Prizes are non-transferable or exchangeable for cash, credit, goods or services. MediaCorp reserves the right to replace the prizes with other items of similar value without giving prior notice. Unclaimed prizes will be donated to a charitable organisation. 

16. By participating in this promotion, the participant agrees to be bound by the official rules, regulations and decisions of MediaCorp. The decisions of MediaCorp on all matters relating to this promotion are final, conclusive and binding and no appeals or correspondence will be entertained. 

17. MediaCorp reserves the right to reject any entry for any reason.

Personal Data

18. Each participant’s personal data will be collected, used, disclosed and/or processed by MediaCorp and the MediaCorp group of companies (collectively "MediaCorp") for the following purposes: 
(a) For MediaCorp or its designated representatives or business partners to provide goods and services to you or parties designated by you and matters ancillary thereto. 
(b) To verify and process payment when you purchase goods and services from MediaCorp. 
(c) For verification and record of your personal particulars including comparing it with information from other sources and using the information to communicate with you. 
(d) For research and analysis, including surveys and polls. 
(e) To send you notices, information, promotions and updates including marketing and advertising materials in relation to MediaCorp’s goods and services and those of third party organizations selected by MediaCorp. 
(f) To be disclosed to the sponsors/advertisers for the purpose of prize collection. 
(g) To comply with any request from any third party or any order of court or directive from authorities investigating any alleged offence or misconduct or for the purposes of taking legal action against any you. 

19. By participating in this contest, each participant: 
(a) consent to MediaCorp collecting, using, disclosing and/or processing your personal data for the purposes as described in Clause 18 above; 
(b) consent to MediaCorp transferring your personal data out of Singapore to MediaCorp’s third party service providers or agents for the purposes as described in Clause 18 above.
