12 sent to hospital after truck hits SBS bus

SINGAPORE — An accident this morning (July 28) between a SBS bus and a truck resulted in twelve people being sent to hospital.

The accident occured at Tampines Avenue 10. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was informed of the incident at 8.26am this morning, and three ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

The twelve adults were conveyed conscious to two hospitals.

SBS Transit said in a statement today that the bus was hit in the rear by a truck and several passengers were injured as a result.

The company added that its staff are extending care and concern to the injured passengers in hospital and are rendering assistance as best as they can.
