SINGAPORE – A 70-year-old man has been charged with the murder of his flatmate.

TODAY understands the victim, 62-year-old Fan Fook Heng, died in hospital on Wednesday (June 29) morning.

Tan Kim Hock allegedly committed the crime between Monday 11.30pm and Tuesday 12.30am in a seventh-floor flat at 31 Bendemeer Road.

Tan will be remanded till July 5, when he is due in court. Permission has been granted to the police to take him out for investigations.

If convicted, Tan faces the death penalty.
