Angela Lee, 21, announces engagement to fellow MMA star
SINGAPORE – Mixed Martial Arts champion Angela Lee has announced she is engaged to fellow ONE Championship fighter Bruno Pucci.
SINGAPORE – Mixed Martial Arts champion Angela Lee has announced she is engaged to fellow ONE Championship fighter Bruno Pucci.
In a series of posts on social media on Saturday (Oct 21), the 21-year-old – who is of Singapore-Korean parentage – said: “YES! YES! YES! A million times, YES! Bruno Pucci, thank you for completing my fairytale I can't wait to (officially) be yours forever!”
Brazilian Pucci, 27, proposed to the MMA star in Hawaii.
He said on his Instagram page: “I’m super excited to build our future together and enjoy this new journey ... Love you now and forever, my future wife!”
The couple, who have been dating since January this year, also posted pictures of Lee’s flower-shaped engagement ring.
Pucci is a jiu-jitsu coach with local gym Evolve MMA and a fighter with Singapore-based ONE Championship.
Lee, who fights under the Evolve stable, became the youngest MMA world champion in 2016. She is ONE Championship’s poster girl with an unbeaten (8 wins, no losses) record.
Lee is slated to defend her ONE Championship women’s atomweight title against Japan’s Mei Yamaguchi (16-10) on Nov 24 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
