Cabbie involved in East Coast Rd restaurant crash suspended
SINGAPORE – A cabbie whose taxi crashed into a restaurant along East Coast Road last night (April 17) has been suspended.

SINGAPORE – A cabbie whose taxi crashed into a restaurant along East Coast Road last night (April 17) has been suspended.
The taxi had ploughed into the outdoor area of Georges Mad Bar & Grill after being involved in an accident with another car.
Restaurant owner David Leong said five customers and two workers were injured and they received outpatient treatment. He added that one of his workers had given first aid to an injured customer.
ComfortDelGro said its immediate concern is the well-being of those injured, and that it is helping them as best as it can.
The taxi company is also helping police with their investigations.
Mr Leong said the damage to his restaurant is estimated to be between S$30,000 and S$40,000.
Mr Leong said it is business as usual for his restaurant today, although the outdoor area which can seat some 40 customers would be closed as contractors are still working on clearing the debris.
