Cancer Society fund-raiser raises record S$1 million

SINGAPORE – The 2014 Race Against Cancer has raised a record S$1 million to help cancer patients.

SINGAPORE – The 2014 Race Against Cancer has raised a record S$1 million to help cancer patients.

Organised by Singapore Cancer Society and SingTel, the participants included cancer patients and survivors, and their families. Now into its sixth edition, the event raised S$861,000 last year.

The money will be used to fund the Cancer Society’s services and programmes to provide care and support towards cancer patients.

Through the race, the organisers hope to rally the community to join in the fight against cancer. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
