SINGAPORE – A white sedan reversed into a childcare centre, knocking down part of its concrete wall with glass windows, in the early afternoon on Sunday (Jan 22).

SINGAPORE –  A white sedan reversed into a branch of My First Skool (MFS) located at Block 677 Hougang Avenue 8 on Sunday afternoon (Jan 22).

The incident, which happened at about 12.45pm, knocked down part of a wall with glass windows. No injuries were reported.

In a media statement from NTUC First Campus which runs the childcare centre, the centre was empty at the time of the accident. Parents of the affected centre were notified of the incident, and that their children would be housed temporarily at another branch located in Rivervale Crescent, it added.

Repairs to the damaged childcare centre are expected to take three to four to complete.

This is the second incident within a week in which a driver had accidentally reversed into a public space.

On Thursday morning (Jan 19) a Citycab taxi got stuck between two pillars of a Housing Development Board (HDB) walkway in Jurong West. No one was injured in the incident as well.

Police investigations into Sunday’s accident are currently ongoing.
