CNB dragnet sees 92 drug offenders arrested

SINGAPORE — Ninety-two suspected drug offenders were detained during an 11-day dragnet throughout the island, said the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) in a media release on Friday (May 26).

SINGAPORE — Ninety-two suspected drug offenders were detained during an 11-day dragnet throughout the island, said the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) in a media release on Friday (May 26).

One of the detainees is a 25-year-old Singaporean male who is suspected of drug trafficking. CNB said they had apprehended the man on Tuesday (May 16) in his home at Tampines Street 33. 

Officers found about 32g of ‘Ice’, various drug-smoking utensils and a digital weighing scale in his apartment. 

Meanwhile, other raids were conducted between May 15 and May 26 at various locations including Bedok, Bishan, Bukit Panjang, Hougang, Jurong, Punggol, Sengkang, Serangoon, Tampines, Woodlands and Yishun.

The entire operation saw officers seized a total of 226g of synthetic cannabis, 118g of Ice, 48g of Heroin, 309 Yaba tablets, nine Ecstasy tablet, small amounts of cannabis, Ketamine, Erimin-5 tablets, and 4 bottles of methadone worth over S$18,000.

Investigations against the suspects are ongoing.
