Discriminatory job ads: Ten firms to apologise
SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) said today (Sept 25) it has taken action against 10 firms for posting discriminatory job advertisements, including requiring public online apologies from them and preventing them from hiring foreign workers for six months. The companies had posted advertisements bearing words or phrases indicating preferences for non-Singaporeans, for people of a certain age group or gender. These advertisements were found not to be aligned with the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices issued by the Tripartite Alliance for Fair Employment Practices (TAFEP), according to a MOM statement.

In March, MOM took action against Incofood Singapore and Expedia Singapore. Both companies put up public apologies as suggested by MOM.
