For the next two weeks, maximum daily temperatures are expected to hit 34°C and 35°C. Afternoon thundery showers are expected on four to six days towards the end of the month.

The Meterological Service Singapore (MSS) provided the forecast today (Oct 16) in its fortnightly outlook.

The rainfall for this month is likely to be below normal. The average rainfall for October is 193.5mm.

For the first two weeks of this month, thundery showers affected Singapore mainly in the late mornings and afternoons as south-west monsoon conditions prevailed. The highest daily maximum temperature recorded in the first two weeks of this month ranged from 34.4°C to 35°C while the lowest daily minimum temperature recorded was between 22.8°C and 23.9°C on a few wet days.
