SINGAPORE — A fair to encourage members of the public to discuss sensitive issues like life and death launched today (Sept 19) in Nee Soon South, near Khatib MRT.

BOTH SIDES, NOW — Living with Dying is an immersive arts experience produced by local arts groups Drama Box and ArtsWok.

The fair is intended to be a platform for public engagement, participation and discussion of topics such as life lessons, highlights, legacies, death and dying, and is also scheduled to be shown at a second venue in Toa Payoh Central.

Minister of State for Health, Dr Lam Pin Min was in attendance at the event at Nee Soon Central.

He said, ”What is the most important is to be ready to face the eventuality of death, which is why this conversation of discussing about end of life issue is so important.”

This is the second time the event is running. It was first hosted at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in November last year, which saw 8,000 attendees at the installation and performances.

BOTH SIDES, NOW will be held at Nee Soon South near Khatib MRT from Sept 19 to 21 and Toa Payoh Central from Sept 26 to 28.
